In the last 2 minutes of each quarter, total 8 minutes, OKC outscored the Celtics 32-8. In the other 40 minutes, the Celtics outscored OKC 114-79.

Crazy stat. Definitely matches the eye test. We got tight and scrambly at the end.
Really is a nutty stat but the C's were just awful at the end of the quarters(except the 3rd) giving back big gains they had made the first 10 minutes of each quarter.

They got lucky. Most times, if you are losing those 8 minutes that badly, you are getting crushed.

Solid win over a team that is very close in talent to The Celtics. Go Celtics!

If the game is close in the 4th I always think we'll win. I think the Celtics players think that too.

Would Marcus head on the Hulk or Green Lantern be better given the green color? Would like to see those photoshops!

Haven’t seen the one-on-one data but my recollection is that Grant spent a fair amount of time checking Schroeder and mostly managed to stay in front of him. That’s a tough cover for a guy strong enough to bang with power forwards. His technique is much improved from the start of the year.

Missed the game, but was following along with this thread and gamecast. Had a bad feeling when so many people were complaining about the refs (lol) and the fact that we were behind by 8+ for a good chunk of the first half.

But boy, they came through in the 2nd half, especially Tatum. Everyone contributed and made clutch plays. Kardiac Kemba showed us what he could do and it reminded me a little of his days at UCONN. Credit to Wanamaker who seems to have found a groove and hopefully can help us consistently off the bench going forward.

Fantastic win. Now 1-0 in this absolutely brutal 14-game stretch we've just started. I had predicted we go 1-2 in our next three right before the ASB (@OKC, @HOU, LAC). But now, 2-1 might not be out of the question.

I don't expect the Sixers to lose to the Bulls, but I could see the Blazers taking down the Heat tonight. Go Blazers!

just finished watching on tape delay.  thoughts:

- refs sucked for the C's.  OKC benefitted from a very biased whistle tonight.
- C's live-or-die by the 3 killed them in the second quarter
- 7 missed FTs did not help the cause
- great job pulling away late in the 4th but some really bad clock management and plays at the end made this a lot closer than it should have been.
- yet another amazing play by Smart at the end to wrap up the win

great win on the road.

they were horrible.  phantom fouls/turnovers called on the C's and missed calls on OKC were just awful in the first half.  didn't get much better in the second half either.
