Seeing tatum fake out lebron and get an and-1 gave me flash backs of pierce. If tatum can unleash his inner Pierce and get the rookie of the year, we can have a good year

Lebrin still the greatest.  What can you do?
You can choose not to guard him with a clearly gassed Jaylen Brown who clearly had nothing to give in the end of the 4th.

Nah, too tough for Brad to recognize.
cant resist the jab could you koz. it does get old.

I happen to agree with that. Smart was probably the better option

So, I'm guessing we had a timeout and didn't use it in that situation once again?

It wasn't as egregious this time as it was at many times in the past, but I still call a timeout there and set up a play for a three, ESPECIALLY against a very subpar Cavs defense.

I wouldve agreed but seeing as this is the first game of the season, Id say let em play through it for learning purposes. They had 2 great looks though so not even the worst decision.

Yeah, I wish we could muster a defense to actually stop him.  But that defense doesn't exist for most any team.  Dudes one of the greatest of all time for a reason.  You can't double him because it will be worse.  Just have to hope he misses.

It would be very easy to resist the jab if Brad was actually able to see the obvious.

Great comeback. Doesn't matter much win or lose today. The performance is what I want to see and they did great in the 2nd half. Happy to see the effort and self-belief of the players after a difficult opening.

Yeah they went into their shells at first but whatever brad Stevens said to them it worked and they turned it around and almost stole a win

If I see that effort every night I can't complain. Just a shame I didn't get to see the cavs fans in shock like when Avery hit that corner 3

[dang] kind of fell apart there in the last minute.  can't guard lebron 1 on 1 and then give up a wide open 3 to Love.  we could have won this game but the offense kind of stagnant in that last minute.  we expected kyrie to come up with the big shot but it didn't happen.

i also don't know why we didn't call a TO and draw up a play there in the closing seconds unless we didn't have any left??

We never do, and I absolutely hate it given how proficient at ATO plays that Brad is, along with it being Cleveland's terrible D.

Cavs are old......they will break down as the season goes on.  IT is not going to save them.

This^

The Cavs showed me little, the entire team is still LBJ.

By the end of the season after 82 games they'll be an old looking team.
I'm liking the c's in a series by end of year.  Wade will be broke down, rose is a sieve on defense and will probably be hobbled.  Cavs defense looks suspect

What an ending. Sure, I'm disappointed with the loss, but it took us less than 48 minutes to see the heart that this team has. They could have just given up after the first half and we wouldn't have blamed them. Instead, they turned everything on and nearly pulled off a ridiculous upset.

Jaylen Brown needs to go back to the drawing board and work on his 3s

he missed several open(crucial) ones

we should have won the game

Yeah Brown lost the game for us because he missed some 3's....are you serious?
Brown played great.

Listen, by April?

We will beat these guys. Brown just hung 25 on the Cav's. Smart and Rozier are  better than anything they have.

Cav's are praising the Lord for beating Irving, Horford and young guys by a bucket.
who would have guessed brown would drop 25 ? Lol

Don't need to shut him down, but Brown was losing him on every play. Just put someone in who has the legs to at least try to challenge him rather than giving him wide open layups.

I hope all you experts that thought the Cavs were a lock to win the east can now see that Celtics should have been favorites.

Brown played great.

you can't miss wide open 3s like that

he went 2-9

not saying he was the reason why we lost...but we should have won the game

Greg Popovich would be down his throat missing those open 3s...  i want Brown to be great, he needs to make those
