Some tough back2back nights in December esp GSW then SAC.

Lots of meetings early with Philadelphia. Lots of eastern conference matchups early on too.

First MIL game at home in Dec.

Potential NBA Finals matchup with Denver midseason. Alright. Potential NBA Finals matchup with Phoenix all in March. Interesting.

Celtics @ Lakers on Xmas. Lakers @ Celtics on Feb 1.

Things that jumped out about the Celtics schedule during a quick break from vacation (and before getting back on some waterslides):

⁃Opening at MSG, then home to host the Heat is a fun first week

⁃Marcus Smart back at Garden on Feb 4 leaves us six months to emotionally prepare. Nov 19 in Memphis will be first step

⁃Two games vs Ime in 8 days in January

⁃Grant returns on March 1

⁃Team brass (and the sleep scientists) probably don’t love the idea of Celtics potentially in Vegas for in season tourney then back out west for four games two weeks later.

⁃Then back to SAS (wemby!) and OKC to usher in 2024. Lot of miles in Dec/Jan.

⁃11 road games and another tough west coast trip in March

-  Savor every Gorman game

⁃41 home, 42 road. Let’s do this.

That 3 for 4 away stretch against Phoenix, Portland & Utah is nasty
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Wow, 11 of the 16 games in March are away. That's gonna be a rough stretch, especially that 5-in-7 stretch.

Having 6 of 8 April games at home helps make up for it, but we need to make sure that a rough March doesn't take us out of the running for home court advantage. Starting the month with a Friday night Kyrie visit should help us get it going, I expect the Garden to be popping
I'm bitter.

Normally I'd agree but at this point does it really matter? Even with HCA in the past they've royally choked including last year. Pretty sure they are something like 10-12 at home the last two postseasons as well which is insane. The key is being healthy which to me is the bigger concern.

You're 100% right, but I'm holding out hope that that will change this year. I'll probably be disappointed, but maybe taking a step back last summer, or losing Smart, or bringing in KP will give them the kick in the but they've needed.

Plus, home court = easier to go to a playoff game

I'm excited for that 11 of 16 games in March away games. Since this team plays so dang well on the road, they'll def show up!!

Huh? 83 games? Is that assuming we go to Vegas for that silly tournament or even before?

It must be including the tournament, because I count 40 home games and 40 away games on the current schedule

Edit: Wait, I'm just realizing that the semifinals in Vegas counting as regular season games means that at least 2 teams are going to get less than 41 home games for the year. I guess they figure the TV income will outweigh that one game, but I'm still a bit surprised the Owners agreed to that
I'm bitter.
