Has there ever been a situation where a coach might win COY (Casey) and then get fired?

I don't see how Toronto can bring this current group back.

Why and how on earth is Casey going to win it ? The Raptors did what they had to in the regular season without any injuries to deal with,  Brad meanwhile had to deal without Kyrie and Hayward and we still ended up with the 2nd seed.

If Brad ain't getting it then it should be handed over to Snyder.
