I haven't heard this mentioned elsewhere so I'd figure I'd post it considering it's trade season. Was just looking at our future pick obligations, and we might land two early 2nd rounders next year.

- We get Portland's pick unprotected (from the Tristan/Bruno/Dunn trade). Nice.

- We will also get Houston's 2nd (protected 31-32) if they pick 3rd or worse in the draft. Otherwise we get the worse of Miami and Dallas' picks. I'll take those odds any day. This one came from the infamous Bane/Kanter trade  :-[ But at least we get something out of it.

We don't have our own pick but the Houston and Portland picks have excellent potential and should have good trade value.

They should be the centerpiece of a great TPE deal.

Yup. Or they could sweeten the pot in a trade for a star. I like that they're both next year. Gives some immediacy to their value to a team that wants to rebuild now.

Would be great to get some value from the Bane trade just to ease some of the agony that some here still feel from that transaction.

Thanks for the post - I didn’t realize the Cs had those two possibly useful picks.

Portland owes their 1st to Chicago,  but it's protected 1-14. Are they really going to try to make the playoffs and get swept in the first round,  only to lose their pick?

Imo there's a strong chance they finally blow it up and tank, which is good for us.

Not sure if this is what you're saying, but just to clarify, the order of the 1st and 2nd round picks aren't linked via the lottery.

1st round (1-4) is determined by the lottery, 2nd round is determined by record.

So Houston could have the worst record and get the 3rd pick due to the lottery, but would still get the 31st pick due to record.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Whoa, i never knew that. In that case let's hope there are teams tanking harder than Houston.

Lillard might indeed be on his way out. Today he reposted something on IG that said "loyalty has an expiration date."

I wonder if KD and Lillard try to get together somewhere?

The seconds may be highly relevant to how the Juancho TPE resolves. It expires in (I think) January and is for a bit more than the full TMLE. If the bench needs bolstering after the initial assessment period that's a good way to do it.
