So Sunday night Weiss wrote an article that supposedly said Hayward was still leaving the bubble for the birth.

Today Weiss tweets this:

https://twitter.com/JaredWeissNBA/status/1305921209301954560

Says Stevens is being sarcastic in one tweet, then says he's insisting he was serious on not knowing about Hayward leaving.

Clear as mud lol.

Bring the family into the bubble and have the baby there. Gordon's first son can be the bubble boy.
Seinfeld is a GOAT series! Ah, the memories.
There was actually a movie from the 70's I believe based on a true story.

I remember that movie from when it aired -- TV movie. Travolta. Agonizingly bad.

Upgraded to "doubtful" for game 2.

Was hoping for "questionable" at least.  This sucks.

I know the NFL used to have some quantifying definition to their assessments (I think "questionable" meant 50% likelihood). I don't know if the NBA provide any such guidance re: how to declare a players readiness to play.   If so, I imagine doubtful would be a good deal less than likely to play --  maybe 25%?

Have to assume he isn't playing game 2.

We have to figure out how to win without him. Obviously we are capable of that.  Move the durn ball, fellas.

On the bright side it means he's at least a possibility for game 3, will probably be questionable.

Yeah, offensive stagnation was the killer in game 1 - we win the game if we can get good, crisp movement and execution down the stretch. And Hayward is exactly the guy we need for those stretches when our offense lacks those things...he'll do a lot for us even at 60-75%.

I mean isn't "out" to "doubtful" better though.

Could it mean that he's 80% chance of playing Game 3 though?!

If they made the point to upgrade him today, it means they can upgrade him again tomorrow before the game.

Its without a doubt moving in the right direction.

Honestly I dont think having Hayward would have made ANY difference in game 1. The problem was a ton of iso for Kemba and Tatum, Hayward would have probably just ended up iced out of the offence stuck in the corner just like Smart, Brown, ect.

Don't get me wrong I'd rather have him than not, but we also dont know he is gonna look. It wouldn't surprise me if he's rusty after nearly five weeks off. We may need to be prepared for the possibility he doesn't actual help the team much his first few games. And it shoudln't matter, because even without hi the c's are in my opinion the better team even with Gordo. Just gotta figure out how not to stink in crunch time.

Really hoping Hayward plays game 3.
