Dune 2 was excellent. Truly a stunning movie to watch between desert scenes, massive ships, and intense music. I hope Villeneuve makes a third.

I liked Dune 2, but I think I'm the only person who like the first one better.  I really enjoy world building and I just found the first movie more intriguing. But they are both excellent.

I saw the new Ghost Busters last night.  My kids both enjoyed it -- although my nine-year-old son turned to me halfway through and said "there's not a lot of action in this one is there" -- but I was let down.  The nostalgia factor worked again, but nothing else really seemed to.  Too many characters, a really thin plot, and as mentioned not a lot of action.

"Civil War" was the best film I've seen in theaters in a good while. It paints a pretty accurate picture of what war-torn countries look like. A lot of Americans casually toss around statements about how we need a civil war here to right the ship.

They should give this movie a watch.

In part it succeeds because it's not overtly political. Once order breaks down everyone is held to the whims of whoever is holding the guns.

Also watched Ghostbusters Frozen Empire. It was a decent film but had far too many characters. Would have worked better as a series. Dan Aykroyd is in top form though, which is nice to see.

Dune 2 was good. Agree with Roy the first was better. Less action but better world-building.

I saw Late Night With the Devil a couple weeks ago.  I enjoyed it a lot.  It's set on a late night tv show in the late 70s, and it captures that vibe perfectly.  Does a great job of slowly building the tension as the movie progresses.
