Hello everyone,,
First from me, as I am around the NBA:
My initial reaction was: what the ****. DeMar has show up every season having improved some facet of his game in the off-season. Every. Season. I hate this. Every player in the NBA who has been around DeRozan knows he is one of THE hardest workers out there.
DeMar stayed away from free agency, has been completely loyal to Toronto, and bled for this city. He has done more than any player in the franchise's history to improve himself and the organization. Recently, IF the organization,
you****.wiki/ xhamster.vip/ redtube.onl/ unprompted, told DeRozan he was untradeable then I would be extremely disappointed and hurt; however, if they told him he was untradeable when he asked, then what else were they supposed to say..."Yeah, we may look for a good deal and offload you. Sorry bout it."
My calmer reaction, I understand it is a business and the organization needs to do what is best long-term. Maybe they believe this current core has peaked. Bringing in a top 5-player (a) whose contract is up a year before DeRozan's, (b) is better in every facet of the game than DeRozan, and (c) has a connection with Masai, who may be able to convince Kawhi to stay in the fourth-largest city in North America, is fantastic for the business.
Also, I am extremely happy for DeMar - a guy who constantly gets better every off-season is, I believe, going to develop wonderfully until the end of his career. Especially in an organization that is known for developing its players. And Texas has no state tax woooo! I know DeMar will make the best of this situation and I cannot wait to buy my first NBA jersey in years: a DeRozan Spurs one.
