Really? That would definitely surprise me when the Clippers have heaps of space

But the Kings aren't true contenders, they aren't going to win anytime soon lol. Sure, they almost made the playoffs but they'll probably be a 6-8 seed playoff team who'll get swept in Round 1.

It's gotta be the Clippers.

Horford is worth 4yrs/100mil if someone is willing to give it to him. Boston has to match, he is the difference between playoffs and lotto.
They only fall to the lotto if Hayward is the same as he was this past season. More likely it's 6th to 8th seed no- man's land.  And yes, 4 years at $25 mill is a big overpay for Al but I wouldn't be shocked if he was offered that.

Should we rule out a trip back to Atlanta? Horford is a family man, for him to shift so drastically gives me a reasonable suspicion that he is headed to a place that he is familiar with. Perhaps uprooting his family is not an issue?

I can't imagine he's into that. If it was a Floridian team maybe though, but I feel like he wants a ring

People have also speculated that the Milwaukee Bucks can obtain Al Horford

That would absolutely suck. Team would be a monster

Don’t forget the Lakers. If they can’t clear the space they need for a max player they should be able to afford Al’s 4y/100m.

That would be a sucker punch seeing Al go to the Lakers to play with LeBum and AD though  :-\

He hated playing in Atlanta and it’s dead crowd by all accounts. Why would they give him 4y/100m based on where they are at?

He’s going to a contender with cap space, like the Clips or the Lakers.

I was just thinking this.  Paying a 33 year old center with some injury history 100m for 4 years is a play for a win-now contender.  DA's breaking off negotiations with Horford is a clear signal that he no longer thinks this group of players can contend.

Lakers have a short window with LeBum and would be desperate enough to overpay if they can’t get the cap space for a max player. And Al would fit in well he’s a low usage glue guy player who spreads the floor.

Lakers looking to stick it to the Celtics after they upped the Davis cost.
