If the 76ers lose Game 2 in Wells Fargo Center, then that series is over.

I had Philly in 7, but it could look like Brooklyn in 4 or 5 real quick lol.

Just 2 years (feels like forever) ago we dropped 2 at home to start a series and won it running away. Losing G2 will put them against the wall but they're still talented enough, and Brooklyn's style is volatile enough, for them to pull if off.

Think they get the W tonight anyway so probably moot point but even if, I wouldn't bury them yet.
Your conclusion assumes that Celtics are Philly and Brooklyn is Chicago, which isn't correct.
We had a better coach and a deeper and more cohesive team that Philly has.
Brooklyn is also better coached and deeper than what that Chicago team was.

I am with you that Philly can still win it, but a great task is before them with also Joel being questionable.
This is his knee and not his face as it was last year.

I think that this is the best series out of the whole 1st round, in terms of the stakes.

Also, losing Rondo (below average starter) and having to start Jerian Grant or Isaiah Canaan (fringe players) was a big deal with the drop-off.

That’s like Orlando losing DJ Augustin and having to start MCW or Jerian Grant.

I think 76ers could easily lose game 2 and bounce back as well.

They may need to adjust to the fact that Embiid is nowhere near his usual form. Which means less they need to call less plays for Embiid and cut his minutes. More work for Simmons/Harris, more lineups with Simmons at 4/5. It also means Reddick won't get so many shots either as he is INCREDIBLY reliant on Embiid screens to get open in the half court.

They have the talent and roster to adjust and still win that sort of series. I don't know if they'll be able to make that adjustment.

Brett Brown couldn't even beat the Irving-less, Hayward-less, Theis-less, half of Smart-less and Brown-less Celtics WITH Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid (and I feel they had a better depth that year than this year). They got manhandled by Brooklyn even with four talented players.

Part of the problem is that the Sixers never had great depth to begin with. And also, I don't think the main issue is Embiid even if he's limited, but the fact that the PHI guards seem to be outmatched against the Nets guards. Butler can't guard everyone and if Reddick isn't hitting 3s, he's a pure liability out there. Then of course, you have Simmons who doesn't even try shooting outside the paint.

I think PHI wins Game 2 and still wins the series in 6. But if they lose tonight, I think BKN in 6.

Wonder what the FT differential will be tonight for Philly and Brooklyn?

My guess is 36-16 in favor of Philly. I also expect some early fouls on key Brooklyn players.

I'm 100% on board with Philly as paper tigers who don't have what it takes to thrive in the playoffs. I think Toronto will roll them if they both get that far, especially if Embiid is limited. I just wouldn't count them out in this series even if they drop this one.

Refs absolutely on their knees for Philly. Nets players are legit just standing straight up and getting fouls called
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Sixers are off to a much better start here.

I love D. Russell though. Already has 16 points. Feeling a big night from him, win or lose.

Hard not to root for Nets.

Seems they match well with 76'ers.

Like Net's confidence. Hard to like Philly.

Nets are doing a great job weathering Philly's fierce start. Only down 6 now.

The thing with this series?

Philly has all the pressure.

Nets are just havin' fun.
