Booooo!!
I bet they play better now. As long as they’re beating the Lakers, I’m good. That team has been stuck in mediocrity for about a decade now.
I wouldn't say they've been mediocre they've actually been quite good just a notch below the elite teams in the West. They kind of remind me of Toronto...a team that's perpetually very good but not great.
Anyway, time to hit the reset button. Trade Conley and Gasol for picks and try to hit gold in the lottery. I kind of feel bad for Memphis. They don't really have any up and coming young guys worth talking about.
Not many trade possibilities. But New York might be interested in getting rid of a few bad contracts and have Conley secure them a place in the play-offs (for the next couple of years).
Cleveland could use Gasol for a (last) title run. They receive a couple usuful roleplayers to even the value with the Nets' pick
So trade idea:To New York: Mike Conley
To Memphis: Joakim Noah, Courtney Lee, New York Knicks' pick '18
To Cleveland: Marc Gasol, Tyreke Evans, Brandon Wright
To Memphis: Tristan Thompson, Iman Shumpert, Channing Frye, Brooklyn Nets' pick '18
