This is a huge screw-up by Gilbert right before the draft.

Griffin is a good GM. Gilbert is one of the worst owners in sports.

Wow:

Dan Gilbert didn't consult with LeBron James prior to parting with David Griffin, sources said. James had advocated for Griffin extension

Lol at this point it's a dang near certainty that Lebron is gone next year, if not sooner.

Still not convinced he goes West, though, at least to the Lakers. Rumors that he goes to the Clips with Paul now that West is advising.

Maybe a win-now philosophy isn't too shortsighted at this point?

Short of LeBron on the Celtics, I'd love to see him in San Antonio. San Antonio would have the best and third-best players in a series vs. Golden State. It would be a competitive series at the very least.
That team would be incredibly nasty to deal with.

Mills / Parker / Murray
Green / Ginobli / Simmons (or FA)
Kawhi / Anderson
LeBron / Gasol
Aldridge / Dedmon (or FA)

My money is on San Antonio.

Perfect timing for this franchise after the trade down.

Do people really remember Billups as a former Celtic?

Sam Amico:
"FYI: Several teams have spoken to #Cavs about Kyrie Irving. Griffin was unwilling to move Kyrie. It's unclear where owner Dan Gilbert stands"

This is coming after the reports that Griffin quit because there were major differences between him and Gilbert in terms of the future direction of the team.

I wonder if he quit because Gilbert was pressuring him to move Kyrie in a trade for George?

I would like to congratulate everyone who pinned this on LeBron for looking like an idiot. Keep doing you.

Pretty obvious this one was orchestrated by Captain Cosmic Sans from the start, but hey continue to act like a bunch of jealous New Jersey housewives. It's a good look.

Anyways, LeBron is gone and I really hope he re-does the decision just to p--- in Dan Gilbert's cheerios.
