Pat Bev is a much better defender than Payne.... Yeah, I think so...

He might be better than Cam Payne but with all the big names the Bucks were chasing...this is disappointing for them. Pat Beverly isn't going to solve the fact the bucks are slow defensively and one of the oldest roster in the NBA.

They're pretty hamstrung as they are from a trade standpoint. It wasn't like they had the ability to swing for the fences here.

Still, even if they're signing Lowry, I think PB was better to keep for depth.

Now they have Giannis and Beverely to defend. They've improved slightly. Plus, Bev is a pesk which can be irritating

So does Beverley start alongside of Lillard?  Do they play Beasley less?  It isn't going to help their defense much if Lillard plays 40 min and Beasley plays 30 min.

As others have said, decent trade for Bucks, but don’t get it for Philly.

For the Bucks, I wonder if they consider starting Bev next to Dame? The Dame/Beasley backcourt is just God-awful defensively, and while it would lose some shooting abd offense from Beasley, it’d help quite a bit in stopping some of the easy penetration to have Bev out there.

Beverley adds some grit and defense for the Bucks, so that's good for them.

No idea why Philly does this. I know Beverley wasn't moving any needles but he was still one of their best defenders and if they're adding Lowry, again I'm not sure how much of an upgrade he really is at this stage. Strange.
