Died at 86.  Sad to see.  Always such a classy guy.  The world is worse off without Hammerin' Hank

Man.  What an awesome player and spirit.

Some of my earliest memories of being a sports fan were of him breaking Ruth's record.  RIP.
Yup

I wonder if there will be a moment of silence before each game tonight. He was a significant sports figure.

sad day truly.  he's the person that drew me in as a baseball fan as a kid.  Became a Brewer fan the year he moved to that franchise from the Braves

I met him at a film festival about 20 years ago.  Shook his hand. What a thrill.  RIP.

Hank, Yaz and El Tiante were my first heroes as baseball players growing up. Then when Jim Rice came up in 1975, he joined them. It sucks growing old and seeing your childhood heroes pass on.

RIP Hank. You were a special person and meant more to an enormous amount of people than you will probably ever know.

Still wish I had those 1970-76 baseball cards of Aaron in mint condition.
