Can we merge this with the other thread.
Quoting Nick from the now locked Ime thread:

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

if they really want this dumb tourney, then fine, the appearance doesn't matter...some will like it and some won't.

But Basketball CANNOT BE PLAYED ON A FREAKING SLIPPERY FLOOR!!

This tournament thing is so corny anyhow, just like Thursday night football..should do away with both

Completely disagree. I like a little added competition. Both teams played like they wanted that win last night. The NBA needed a little boost for November/December.

Re: the courts- I'm not sure if we are in a position to blame injuries on the floor. What about the hundred other ways to blame an injury? Sounds sorta weak to me.

Players are sliding all over the place.

I really don't care how the courts look. Becasue the in seaosn tourney games are built into the seaosn itself its useful having the court as a reminder about what games are part of the IST.

But for god's sake make them less slippery. This should have been the first thing they checked.

If Lebron slips and hurts himself, changes will be made ASAP. Until then, I don't expect much to change.

I think it’s something the league will actually address.  Safety are no jokes and it’s only a matter of time before a superstar gets seriously hurt.

Also, aesthetically, I can’t imagine the league is naive to how bad some of these courts come across on television. It’s not a good look when viewers struggle to pick up the action on the court when viewing on TV.

I wonder if, in hindsight, the league wished it had waited until next year to implement the tournament.  Everything this year was rushed, including the design and manufacturing of the courts.

I like the Inseason tourney.  Adds competitiveness to these early games.  Not a fan of the courts.  I like the idea so even the casual fan knows it's a highlighted game but they didn't need to do something so drastic.

Yeah, I mean, they could have just used special uniforms for in-season tournament games

That would've been simpler and safer.

This is unsatisfactory. I don’t care how many money deals have been done …..cancel them …NBA do the right thing Silver ….stop the money grab bull. Make the players safe.

Or fire Adam Silver …

Has it been an issue on other courts?  I did see anyone slipping at the Garden.

Other players are complaining about it.
