We didn't manage to win a road game against the Bucks. Let's see if this team can finally learn how to win on the road in the playoffs.

Celtics need to play like their life depends on it in this game if they want to win. Ben Simmons will have a breakout game so anticipate that.i agree, a win here seals the series in 5 games. but i think the most probable outcome will be seven games, ala milwaukee. but as long as the celtics win, i am happy.
The difference between being up 2-0 and 3-0 are very huge in a mental standpoint.
Ben Simmons thinks the Heat were more physical than the Celtics.
We'll see whose more physical when a team is up 3-0 lol.
Listen...if Philly can’t win today...at home...then they flat out are overwhelmed and will be swept. I expect we see everything they have and then some. Lots of off balanced threes falling. All the pressure is on the sixers which is exactly what they don’t need. C’s only have to win one in philly.
Game threes on the road for teams up 2-0 are the hardest to win in the series.

What does more or less physical have to do with the effectiveness of the defense? He might be right but there is no question that our defense has been more effective on him.Ben Simmons thinks the Heat were more physical than the Celtics.
We'll see whose more physical when a team is up 3-0 lol.
That doesn't say much good about Ben Simmons' performance in game 2 then, does it? Less physical but still only able to manage 1 point while looking like he was ready to crap the bed in a bunch of Philly's halfcourt sets.

Not really true. We had some bad calls go in our favor too.We didn't manage to win a road game against the Bucks. Let's see if this team can finally learn how to win on the road in the playoffs.
They had game 4 in Milwaukee. A couple bad calls went against us late that swung points in their favor.
Had we had Smart in the game, we win it and probably don’t even go back to Milwaukee again in game 6.

Ah, I already see how the refs are going to be today. ::)
Simmons got a call from lebron james before the game
Collusion?
The two clear ones were the hold that Tatum committed and the foul on brown. There was also an offensive foul on Giannis that he missed and let to the breakaway. So that didn’t really hurt us.Not really true. We had some bad calls go in our favor too.We didn't manage to win a road game against the Bucks. Yeah, the NBA 2-minute report disagrees with you. The Bucks legitimately only won that game due to officiating errors down the stretch that they scored on.
Tatum just dunked on embiid
Cold blooded 3
Tatum is giving me pierce/bird vibes

I love Tatum playing well while Fultz sits on the bench. Philly fans wishing they didn't make that trade right now.I bet they still would not have picked Tatum at 3. He was not the consensus pick, as Jackson was right there too.
Saric still doesn't understand over the back.

Okay, what about the obvious, easy to call hold by Tatum? We were behind as I recall so that play also swung the game. So certainly not easy to sa6 we would have won, as you just can’t add up the points. The two clear ones were the hold that Tatum committed and the foul on brown. The foul on Brown was a five point swing - two free throws that he didn't get to shoot and the fast break that led to a three on that very play. We were up two at that point, and that five point swing ultimately sealed the game.

Doris Burke should be way better than McHale"
Would like to see Rozier get a bucket or two here. Need to have him see the ball go through the hoop given his terrible home/road splits in the playoffs.rozier is long overdue for a stinker. Tatum is long overdue for a 30 pount game though

Tatum is my favorite rookie ever. First legit superstar prospect we’ve had since Bird and I wasn’t alive during Larry’s rookie year.

Nope. Love Pierce. Wasn’t a superstar. I don’t label every allstar a superstar. Pierce was something like the 12th-20th best player in the league during his prime. Never even 1st team all-nba. Yeah. Lets not go there. Paul Pierce was a legit superstar. If he was playing in this 3 point shooting era, he'd have averaged 30, easy.
It really is amazing how Ben Simmons just won't shoot. There was a possession there where Morris completely lost him, and Simmons was wide open at the 3pnt line for five seconds and just didn't even think about shooting it.Hes a terrible shooter. At least he knows it I guess.

Were not around in 1996 and 97 when he was tearing up the NCAA and was projected to go 2 in that draft. He was a legit superstar prospect. You should go hunt some scouting reports. That was also an era where they didn't shoot 8 threes a game.
Yeah Scary Terry honestly isn't scary on the road...

Doris Burke is horrible, reading off a script. Wish McHale was doing the game.
Pathetic display by MM. You have to make at least one of those open shots you've been getting. He's shooting 39% in the Playoffs.....what a time to go cold. And I swear, after he bricks a shot, he is always nearly the last one back.

According to Doris Burke, the 6ers are heading into the locker roomWell, you’re as lost as she is, since the second quarter is next.
Seems like they should play in the second half before they do that, but what do I know

I'd definitely argue that Pierce was playing a superstar level when we won in '08. Played both ends of the court, went toe to toe with the "King", and outplayed Kobe in his prime in the Finals, winning Finals MVP in the process. We would have won another title in '09 or '10 (I won't go as far as say a 3-peat) if KG doesn't get injured. That's a superstar to me, regardless of basic stats such as PPG which he sacrificed with Ray Allen and KG.
well you knew that was coming at some point.
gotta figure out a way to find their 3 point shooters.

Peaked as an all star??? He's one of the top 50 players in history, surefire first ballot hall of famer, top 20 all time in points scored, and second leading scorer in Boston Celtics history. You might wanna look up there term "peak".
They're playing so well without Horford. I can't believe it...horford was having a terrible game

I love how confidently Morris is carrying the second unit

Baynes cleaning that glass! He has been an absolute rock for the Celtics.More likely than Monroe, and more valuable!
I hope we can hold onto him for next year.

What a SMART play by Larkin there! Got Rozier a WIDE OPEN corner three to get him going! Very good to see.

I would rather you shoot the layup when you are that wide open under the rim. But can't argue with the result.

Playing smart and within themselves on the road. Like it.

Wide open layups are completed at about 90%, open threes at about half that percentage.

I can live with that. Saric and Ilyasova are not going to keep making shots 3 feet behind the 3pt line.
What happened to Horford?
Why is Smart taking a three early in the shot clock?
And why are the Celtics not getting up on Philly's 3pt shooters?
Horford out there acting like he Bem Simmons
That was a charge by Saric. Smart had the position.
Philly used up a time out cuz JB pressured simmons lolSimmons is rattled.
Why do I feel like the 76ers have gotten every call?
Yet again getting killed on the boards.

Smart has turned the ball over every 3 possessions
Illyasova is guarding Horford and we're barely taking advantage.

We're imploding.

It was a heck of dunk. They've practically drooled over Tatum in this same game. Stop it.
Just tuning in...Brown and Tatum each have 3 fouls...do the refs have it in for us today - (as predicted)?
We almost never see any of the mismatches, let alone even attempt to exploit them. Tatum was being guarded by TJ McConnell for a few minutes, iirc, and he's out there playing pick and roll and shooting jumpers ::). #IfThisTeamOnlyHadABrain #IMissRondo

You mean the guy the refs took out of the game with foul trouble?
This run started with Terry completely losing JJ on that wide open 3 shot. Since then we have completely lost our heads on both sides of the ball. Cmon Brad calm them down.
We can win this game. They are going to have runs, they are at home. Gotta get back to what won us the 1st two games, clamping down on their 3 point shooters, be tougher than the other team.
Second quarter choke job. Following the same script as in Milwaukee
Wondering whether the foul trouble got the Celtics tentative on D - at least enough to let Philly to go on a run?Just tuning in...Brown and Tatum each have 3 fouls...do the refs have it in for us today - (as predicted)?
Yes.

Posted in the wrong thread, but yeah down just 3 with zero points from Horford. I'll take it.
Great way to end the half with a set play.
That run really started when Tatum picked up that third foul, which was a textbook charge by him. He has to be smarter on the fastbreak; he's so valuable to our offense right now that he can't be making those types of mistakes.
Also, no more Average Al in the second half. He has to show up and we can take this thing.
This is a winnable game.
This is a winnable game.
Smart and MM with 9 shots each, both only made 3 of their 9.
Tatum: 6 shots
Horford: 3
Brown: 5
Yeah, that's not going to work.
The Celtics took 42 shots in that half and 22 of them were 3's. They've gotta find a way to get things moving to the rim.

The thing I hate about Morris is that there are just so many opportunities here he could make one more pass and it would be so much better a look. he has Brown wide open in the corner one pass away on that last three he took, but you know he's not gonna pass it.
Brown looks fine,he needs to start and play his regular minutes and get more shots. If he can't he shouldn't be playing at all.
Is Al injured? Are they defending him well? They are collapsing on him when he goes into the post or drives. It’s a good strategy.
You can actually see Brown hang his head when he didn't swing it. Who made him king tough nuts somebody needs to call him out for stuff like that it kills the offense.Smart and MM with 9 shots each, both only made 3 of their 9.

He's not really taking the ball off the dribble, nor making moves towards the basket. I wonder if he still doesn't feel confident in his first step.....
There is nothing I want more than for Brown to yoke one on that cocky overrated Emiids head.
We've got the king of adjustments coaching these guys. Looking for a strong defensive stand here in the 3rd.Stevens said it after the first quarter. Their offense is mostly coming from the Celtics bad offense.

The main reporter for Philly is a girl named Jess that seems like she started watching the sport 2 years ago. Yet they just asked her expert opinion about the game. It's unreal how unqualified some of these people are yet they get shoved in our face bc they are semi cute and can name players.
Touche brother but I'm talking about what Brown did to Vucevic tho, straight fatality. There is nothing I want more than for Brown to yoke one on that cocky overrated Emiids head.
Didn't Tatum already do that this game?
Tatum give me that Scalabrine/Battie vibe

How many turnovers for Smart? Feels like a lot, even if it may not be.

We are way too sloppy out there. We're throwing away a big opportunity to go up 3-0.

Smart a disaster out there..
Smart is a turnover machine this game. Ugh.
Well, it doesn't help when they're allowed a completely different standard of physicality than we are. The 13-7 foul discrepancy should tell you all you need to know.
I'd just play the best lineup including Tatum and Brown for rest of game. Go for the kill if you win this game series over and it's sitting there to be taken.Yup they should go hard for this one
i am so sick of these announcers blathering on and on about Embiid...
you would think he is Lebron or something. Embiid hasn't done ANYTHING in the NBA yet.
he helped win a 1st round playoff series is about it.
My lucky basketball cat (yes really) had to go outside to do his business during the second quarter but I'm bringing him in for the rest of the game.
Nope, he just came in voluntarily. He loves the Celtics.

They do love him but he is a beast- will be good for our rivalry for next decade-We have a good history of being a big obstacle for a potentially great center
Oh i just realized why I hate this announcing crew so badly -- it's ESPN. :P
"It's Joel Embiid's world"
Its a tie game and the Sixers have yet to win a game in this series. These two are terrible.

Tatum would have pump faked and gone to the rim on that one.I hate the transition breakaway where guys just run to the 3pt line. Go to the rim!
Yeah, I miss the days when players used to drive to the basket to finish on a break instead of all lining up at the 3pt line.

Tp
Why is the narrative for these announcers "oh the Sixers's kids are so awesome!" instead of "the Celtics are outplaying a desperate 52-win team on the road"?

Joel Embiid has 15 points on 18 shots. not great.
My favorite comment from announcer tonight- “I just want 82 games of Embiid all year” Someone send her his room number when he is on road again next year

It doesn't even make sense, it's not like Embiid has ever played all 82 games

Baynes cost us 4 points
Baynes cost us 4 points
Yes. But Embiid is 7-18, so thats okay.
Great defense, but can't score to save our lives. Need to stretch this lead.
Um, what kind of lineup is this? Larking, Smart, Semi, Morris, and Baynes? Jesus Christ, Brad, where the F is the offense going to come from??Unbelievable he trotted that out. Actually unbelievable. No Rozier, Brown, Horford or Tatum.
Have we even shot a FT since the 1st quarter?
I agree but thing is they make her out to be like our A. Sherrod or something, not the Abby Chin type, eve tho I think Abby is way more knowledgeable than your average sideline girl. We should be up 10. What a wasted opportunity. Sixers look awful.

Smart 4 fouls.
Celtics offense running dry here. We need better ball movement and need to take care of the ball better.
Morris not hitting his shots today. And unfortunately if he doesn't make shots he doesn't offer us a lot out there.
Great defense, but can't score to save our lives. Need to stretch this lead.

Whenever Morris gets the ball, no matter where he is on the court or how many defenders are in front of him, I know the possession is ending with him taking the shot.

We had a stretch there where Smart/Baynes took 3 straight shots. Besides semi, those are our 2 least effective offensive players. Gotta do a better job at getting it to Tatum, Rozier, Horfrod, brown. Guys who can actually score.
Watching the game at work so I can't hear. I've seen this Embiid dunk on Baynes at least 7 times. They just played in twice in a row again even though it happened in, what, the 2nd quarter? Then they throw up the graphic that he's 7-18 which is... not great.
I don't get it.
Well, we have a shot. Let’s see who wants it more.

This times a million, run the best lineup here no more Morris shots rest of the way.Whenever Morris gets the ball, no matter where he is on the court or how many defenders are in front of him, I know the possession is ending with him taking the shot.
It's getting frustrating. I don't mind his size up contested 2's if the clock is winding down but that should never be an option with 10+ seconds left on the clock.
CAN WE GET TATUM SOME SHOTS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
These two announcers could not be less boring. I would rather listen to excited biased Philly announcers.
Embiid plows into baynes and foul on us? How?

These refs better not
We gotta get Morris out of there. He isn't giving us anything.Like I said right now run the starters in with Brown go for the kill.

The play was legitimately over and the whistle blows. For real?
That might have been the latest call I've ever seen. HORRIBLE.
That is the latest whistle in the history of the league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG JUST GET ON YOUR EFFING KNEES FOR THEM REFS!! You're already blowing the game! 18-8 on freaking fouls. What a joke.
Bad shot by Tatum. Way too contested.

Almost went down.
Lol Al gets no love there either on a blatant foul on Ilyasova ::)

Brad's listening.....
Lol Al gets no love there either on a blatant foul on Ilyasova ::)Yup if that was embid it would have been a foul and video review
I really expect a big philly win today. The fact it is close this late makes me feel even more confident for game 4
Its amazing how much of a more heady and hearty player a one legged Jaylen Brown is than a fully healthy Ben Simmons.Celtics are just a smarter team than the Sixers.
Better to win this one then rest players in G4.I really expect a big philly win today. The fact it is close this late makes me feel even more confident for game 4
If we lose this game, even in a nail-biter, Game 4 could very well turn into a rout for the 76ers, imo.
AL really needs to score 8 pts in the 4th.
McConnell is moving into celtic killer group. Guys like Rashard Lewis, Jamal Crawford...etc.Yeah, we need to stay the hell alert because he’s running on on the boards and going for steals. Can’t afford to be lazy out there.
Jalen has had an impact on this game defensively. A steal, two blocks, a few times getting his hands in the passing lane. It has helped, even if he isn't 100%.

This game means nothing for the next one. That said, they would be favored in the next game no matter what so all that matters is win or lose.I really expect a big philly win today. The fact it is close this late makes me feel even more confident for game 4

Unfortunately, I'll have to disagree with you on this one, here.
"They've been letting them play though"
No, Doris Burke, they've been letting PHILLY play. We're not allowed to do anything
Refs aren’t doing us any favors. No shock there
Ridiculous how poor NBA officiating is. Cost Boston the game in Milwaukee and now today. Just pathetic.
Ugh gotta hit at least one Jay
Too few playoff games actually impacted the salary cap for this season.Ridiculous how poor NBA officiating is. Cost Boston the game in Milwaukee and now today. Just pathetic.
The NBA doesn't like sweeps. Costs them ad revenue. Especially when Philly/Boston and all these young guys are way more interesting than Cavs/Toronto.
Does anyone want to score? Anyone?

That wasn't a kick. The refs suck
I mean, Jesus Christ, Brad, we have like 7 empty possessions in a row, and yet you simply let them play through it and don't call a TO when we have three left? Do your freaking job. That stretch was just begging for us to take the lead for good, but you sat on your hands and let it go to waste.Im pretty sure this is completely false.
wow i didn't expect tatum to miss both free throws. the crowd got in his head for a bit there.feel like he's just tired. How many minutes has he played
He did when he was 20 years old.Ugh gotta hit at least one Jay
Paul Pierce don't miss those ;)

The kick ball call was regretfully... a correct call.
"A player shall not kick the ball or strike it with the fist. b. Kicking the ball or striking it with any part of the leg is a violation when it is an intentional act. The ball accidentally striking the foot, the leg or fist is not a violation.Dec 26, 2014"

They cost us championships.
This whole series is going to come down to the Celtics shooting. If they make enough shots they'll win.Pretty much the line for every game in the NBA, ever.

I mean, we ARE two wins away from the ECF after losing 2 All-Stars... I think he's done his job.
Brown needs to sit. Play smart
Can the announcers blow Philly more? lol
Not really. This team is shooting challenged but they've done pretty well this series up till now. This whole series is going to come down to the Celtics shooting. If they make enough shots they'll win.Pretty much the line for every game in the NBA, ever.
Lol the refs simply won't call anything against Embiid.
We aren’t hitting from outside, and the refs won’t let us score inside. Every time they drive our guys are mugged.
Lol the refs simply won't call anything against Embiid.
Terrible shots from Horford, and another bailout call for Philly.
Terrible shots from Horford, and another bailout call for Philly.
Gotta get something going to the rim
Make a 3. And win itAgree
Clutch time out by Stevens. We get a do overLol. He saw Morris lining it up and made the best timeout call of the game
We have two timeouts left, yet we wait until there's only 8 seconds left on the shot clock to call a timeout and lose the 2 for 1 ability. Yet more terrible decision-making down the stretch by the coaching staff.
And of course they hit that, though of course the refs also let Ilyasova get away with a blatant foul on Rozier.Absolutely...

Uh, yeah, this should absolutely be a delay of game technical on Philly for this delay of game.
Tatum should have had his arms up contesting.

::) Bellinelli has never been a scrub.
I think Baynes missed some easy shots in the 3rd quarter that hurt and Morris forced some difficult shots that hurt...hope both make me eat crow.
Time to unleash the Moose.
I cna't even understand why Rozier was Guarding Marco
He sticks with Reddick
You play Semi to guard Marco then
****
Time to unleash the Moose.Might be a good move - and go right to him.
The basketball gods traditionally punish this kind of pre-mature celebration. Confetti game could be a historic turning point for this philly team.lol

I wanted celtics to pick up bellinelli when he was release by atlanta
why is Brown on the BENCH??????
WHERE IS THE FOUL CALLL!
Gotta put Brown back in. A minute isn't gonna kill that hammy.
why is Brown on the BENCH??????
He's over his minute limit.
ARE THEY REALLY NOT GOING TO CALL A FOUL AT ALL FOR US THERE?!
I will be so disappointed if they don't blast the refs after this game.
Get BROWN in the game!!!!!!It's absolutely absurd he was taken out to begin with like are you serious ?

Hey Philly. Sweep up your confetti. Sweeping is a process.

His idol is Kobe Bryant

ice in his veins. So money
But the 76ers are so good....
They won blah blah blah games in a row!!!!
Ben Simmons is the second coming of Magic....
doris had a tear in her eye/ go console Embiid!
Guys.

They didn't lose, The Celtics beat them!
MM was horrendous almost the entire game, but we gotta give him credit for making that perfect pass to Al to make the gamewinning shot.Agree
Well, they got the "win a road playoff game" chimpanzee off their backs.

Brad just answered the everyone's question. He didn't call a timeout with 16 seconds cause he likes to see. Wanted to see if they were able to get an easy bucket out in transition and not screw that up if that was a possibility.
Still buzzing after that win. They have experience to deal on the road now
I honestly thought the Sixers would beat us pretty comfortably tonight. Thought it would look like Game 3 against the Bucks.
Very impressed by their effort and poise throughout the game. This team is balling right now.

I wonder if the confetti cost the Sixers the game. Belinelli making that shot on their home court gave them a huge momentum burst. All of the Sixers players' adrenaline has to be through the roof, only to have a 7 minute delay due to confetti causing them all to cool off.
Stephen A. smith saying Brett brown has lost them all three games :o
lol- such bs
but maybe brett brown should spend more time on watching game film and less time in tanning bed😁
Ben Simmons really does crumble
Embiid too. 26 shots for 22 points and that key turnover.
Brad Stevens has been and the best coach possible for this rebuild now going forward. So [dang] good.Thank Doc for bailing out lol
Regardless of the outcome of this series, I think it's amazing what Philly was able to accomplish this season. They are well ahead of schedule and this is probably their most successful season since Iverson. That said, they should consider hiring a real coach after this season. It's great that Brett Brown had that win streak with them, but he's been awful in these playoffs. It's rare for a coach to survive post-tank. Probably time for them to bring in someone real.

I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you to all on this thread! ;D
I was outside with family so couldn't watch the game, but had this forum game thread up almost the entire time (lol). Was frustrating at times with connection errors on the site and occassionally my 4G/LTE going slow depending where we were, but was great to follow along the game with everyone's posts here!
Throughout all the frustrations, raging at refs, raging at missed FT's, praising folks, celebrating makes, it was a hard fought win and a battle that we won at the end. The end of the 4th definitely gave me a heart attack as connection problems hit again on this site, but I was seeing some folks like Kaufman and others on Twitter talking confetti, "OH MY GOD", etc. lol :P

Seriously though, C's were just more composed, had a better balance on D, no great surprise this is 3-0
Everyone needs to calm down. I want LeBron. And I want to win in 4.

oh, and for those of you keeping count of playoff scoring in this series is...I still think Fultz can be really really good despite this rough year. Will be interesting to see if he ends up in San Antonio this Summer.

lebron may jump the sinking cleveland ship, but it wont be for philly.
i was shocked at how simmons crumbled in big moments. he may yet shape up and become tougher, but for now he has a major problem.
Embiid walks like a crippled praying mantis
Simmons has no shot but a dunk.
Four role players who play no defense
A coach who sat on the bench while the owners tanked away for years......appears to have forgotten how to coach a team to a win ......he is a great loser tho ::)
yet all the morons think Philly has a better club ...smh
the Raptors and Bucks are better than Philly.

Time to head over to Liberty Ballers to witness the carnageit's great. At realgm they're also self combusting. They're blaming the coach even though the players were being terrible
Brad has masterfully coached this series. He's rendered Simmons ineffective and Embiid is playing right into our hands with the postups.Stevens called the fake play and timeout at the end to see how the Sixers were defending, then calls another timeout and adjusts. Crazy good
Is anyone else annoyed by how, in an almost casually-dismissive way, it's a foregone conclusion that the 76ers are the more talented team? That's just NOT TRUE.
Horford, Tatum and Brown vs Embiid, Simmons and Redick is at worst a wash. Rozier and Morris are probably better than Saric and Covington. Gah!
Raptors are who we thought they are...mentally soft. Casey is getting outlebroned by freaking Lebron.
So I just finished watching the game...and even though I knew we won it was still exciting because I did not know how I guess.

Lol. Depending on the age that could be bad - or really bad.
Luckily we got our baby to nap through most of the game. So my wife watched most of the game with me. During the 4th and OT she was like, "How the hell do you do this all of the time? My heart is about to explode with nervousness!" lol

Yeah, hindsight is 20/20. If the Sixers had scored, being stuck on your own side of the court with 1.5 seconds to go on the clock and no way to advance the ball because of a questionable bluff is perhaps just crazy. But to the victor go the spoils, so...Brad has masterfully coached this series. If awards were voted on after the playoffs I can't help but wonder if LeBron would have won MVP, Tatum would have win ROY and Stevens would have won Coach of the Year?LeBron v Davis for MVP would’ve been fun. Not sure who I’d pick
Brett Brown , Embiid and Simmons
Call Brad Stevens

That's why they will keep losing. He just doesn't get it. Until you own up to your own mistakes and correct them, you will keep losing. Horford schooled him down the stretch, and stuffed him twice.

Tatum was an astonishing +24 in the game tonight- beyond incredible
Raptors are who we thought they are...mentally soft. Casey is getting outcoached by freaking Lue.
It truly is remarkable. I've been saying all season that I honestly think Tatum is close to as talented as Durant was as a rookie. I live in Seattle and watched Durant a ton his rookie year (Brown actually reminds me a ton of young Jeff Green back then, but that's a different story). Durant shot terribly that rookie year. Like 42% from the field and 29% from three, but he had a green light to shoot as much as he wanted. I imagine the reps helped his development.Tatum was an astonishing +24 in the game tonight- beyond incredible

That was the concern with Tatum... that being part of such a loaded roster might stunt his development. I worried that he wouldn't get the reps and wouldn't get the necessary confidence. The silver lining of the injuries is that Tatum is now getting an opportunity to be one of the main guys on this team on the big stage. A huge amount of responsibility has fallen on him. And the kid is meeting and exceeding expectations.
He's now averaging 18.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.3 steals with 45%/30.7%/82.6% shooting in 10 playoff games.
Compare that to Durant's rookie season where he averaged 20.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.4 asssits, 1 steal with 43%/29%/87% shooting for a 20 win Sonic team.
Tatum genuinely has a shot to end up a true superstar. We haven't had a true superstar prospect since Bird. Loved Pierce, but his ceiling wasn't as high as Tatum. It's exciting. And most importantly it means Boston could reasonably have their 4th star to pair with Kyrie, Hayward and Horford. Our only hope of competing with the 4-star Warriors is to have one of our young guys develop into a star as well. When you also consider the contributions of Brown and Rozier (or moving those guys for Kawhi), it makes our future pretty darn interesting.
Tatum is a more athletic Pierce. Pierce was so crafty and smart which Agent 0 will become as he progressesLonger too. More advanced offensive game than Pierce had at that age. I've heard Tatum might not even be done growing.

That Jeff Green comparison to Jaylen Brown is so lazy and inaccurate. Jaylen Brown is a killer, Jeff Green is food!
That Brown comment was put there to passively aggressively stir the pot and get a reaction. It truly is remarkable. When you also consider the contributions of Brown and Rozier (or moving those guys for Kawhi), it makes our future pretty darn interesting.
That Jeff Green comparison to Jaylen Brown is so lazy and inaccurate. Jaylen Brown is a killer, Jeff Green is food!
Totally agree. Almost nothing like Green.
Agree with LB that Tatum is best prospect since Bird. Maybe Reggie could have approached superstar status one day..
That Brown comment was put there to passively aggressively stir the pot and get a reaction. It truly is remarkable.

And most importantly it means Boston could reasonably have their 4th star to pair with Kyrie, Hayward and Horford. nah. I’m talking about green during his first couple years in the league. He looked like he could be really good some day. Well before he went to Boston and had a heart condition. I expect brown surpass green. Second year green was pretty similar to 2nd year brown. That Brown comment was put there to passively aggressively stir the pot and get a reaction. It truly is remarkable. Yeah, but second year Green was also playing 7 more mpg than Brown did this year, and it was Jeff Green's peak. I guess you could make the argument that Green almost returned to that level while he was here, but his rebounding and efficiency were both down.nah. The Sixers are whining about the refs in game three? Ho ho ho ho!A spoiled, enabled point of view. It is much like society today. This is why it is a pleasure to watch how the Cs play and conduct themselves.
"While Embiid owned up to his team's mistakes, he also pointed out that Horford wasn't called for a single foul while guarding him throughout the game.
"I don't see how it's possible for someone to guard me and have zero fouls. I thought a couple plays, it wasn't fair," he said. "But like I said, you gotta give Al a lot of credit. He made some plays for his team, and he got them the win. But like I said, I'm too big. I guess it's the playoffs, it's my first time here, so I'm learning, but I'm too big not to be fouled every time I go to the basket, every time I post up.""
Embiid walks like a crippled praying mantis
Simmons has no shotbut a dunk.
Four role players who play no defense
A coach who sat on the bench while the owners tanked away for years......appears to have forgotten how to coach a team to a win ......he is a great loser tho ::)
yet all the morons think Philly has a better club ...smh
the Raptors and Bucks are better than Philly.

Someone needs to fix these forums with the often "can't connect to database" crap.
