The Detroit Lions fired head coach Matt Patricia and general manager Bob Quinn on Saturday after two straight seasons under .500 and a third season where the team was again under .500 at midseason.

The Lions' Front Office, who demanded playoffs-or-bust this season, decided it was time to move on from Patricia. The team sits at 4-7 following a blowout loss to the Texans on Thanksgiving Day.

I wonder if the rest of the league will ever figure out that coaches from the Belichick coaching tree just aren't that good. Seems like they would be good, given how good Belichick is, but they really aren't.

all coaching trees have good and bad.  I mean even someone like Bill Walsh had a few stinkers come out of it.

True, but I think in Belichick's case, there have been many more failures than successes. Or maybe it just seems that way to me.
