Thompson will  give Boston more social media presence. Is that good or bad for the team?

He was, he definitely liked it here. I'm glad we did the right thing and sent him to a place he likes in Portland.

I think Thompson will do good for us too. Despite all the talk about him being a Kardashian man, he's stuck by Cleveland through thick and thin and as far as I'm aware never said a bad thing. Plus, he isn't afraid of getting in the face of others

Tuesday, I believe. I’d agree. Got to get done by tomorrow IMO.

If NYK is the 3rd team, it will most likely try to dump one of their PGs:

I'm just ... not interested in any of those players. I'd rather give Payton Pritchard time or put the ball in Romeo's hands than play any of those guards. Maybe Frankie has uncorrupted raw talent still and would be a low-risk high-reward guy ala Evan Turner, but I really don't even think he's a point guard.

I don't think it would matter if the Cs had interest in any of them.  It would just be the cost of doing business.

I think I see where you are coming from. You are assuming the Celtics would have to take something from the Knicks back if the Hornets sent Batum there.

I think I'd still rather they send that player to the Hornets and we get a heavily protected 2nd from either team (unlikely to ever convert) and the trade exception. The wrong guy (like Smith) could hurt the team a lot more than help it. Given the fact that Pritchard could probably be as effective as any Knick "point guard" this year if he had the same number of opportunities, I'd rather play Pritchard.

No more than last year's team with Kanter

There is this social media phenomenon called 'The Kardashians' I am sure you have heard about it. I do not think Kanter comes close to that reach on Social Media.

Of course, but Thompson doesn't seem to actually be that proactive in terms of social media presence. Kanter, with his constant campaigns for human rights in his home country, is the much larger 'presence' in that he is often on talk shows or posting on his own accounts.

Speaking of his home country, TT just became an American citizen.

Top three links:  People, TMZ, E! Online.  Celts will be getting a lot of attention.

I wonder if the hold up on the S&T is because Danny wants to see what Davis and Giannis do with their contracts first.
Maybe the S&T becomes much bigger if Davis signs a 1+1 deal and Giannis doesn’t extend for the super max ... meaning both of them become free agents next summer...

I don’t follow.

Danny doesn’t really have leverage because Char can just waive and stretch Batum and sign Hayward out right. How would waiting to see what Giannis and Davis do impact this sign and trade?
