Would be thrilled if the Cs got him at 30 in 1st round.

I don't like 219 pounds though (combine result).   I mean he can't be that weight and play PF at the next level.  Guys like Bam would shove him clear with a forearm.   Maybe fly into the stands with a Jokic forearm

And he is already an older prospect. So shows you he has a hard time adding weight

He needs some more muscle but he moves well and can block shots, defend and runs the court well.I love him at 30.

5-10 years ago it'd concern me. In modern NBA, not as much.... not that many Bams rollin' aorund this league.

He's an excellent rebounder and defender, and could be terrific in the pick-n-roll as a rim runner.

He does look good if he can step up in NBA.

Long arms and good timing. DePaul plays a really tough big east and outside schedule and he had a very good season. He's a good rebounder, makes his living on defense.

Just love to have some front court help off the bench and since Ainge owns the bottom of the first round?

Just found this article from Hollinger which includes more deets on Reed (for those who subscribe to Atlantic). He agrees with me on Reed's value, basically:

You know that Tatum is like 230.  Brown is like 225 already.

So we are going to have a PF, big man that is lighter than these two?

I don't know...

I also liked Jalen Smith. But when I saw that he was still 225 pounds (combine).  I was turned off.    He couldn't even gain 5 pounds since college ended?  Like his body won't allow him to. High metabolism/unable to stomach much food into his body

"A long-limbed 4 who moves well laterally, flashes tremendous hands, and has great instincts, Reed can guard 1 through 5 and has All-Defense potential."

Not sure we need to pigeon hole him to "Power Forward". League doesn't really work that way these days.

Hard pass on Smith. Guy is too thin. Another project.

Here's more video of Reed:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRCy45OpCNk&pbjreload=101

The guy I see as I watch? Pascal Siakum. He was also taken way too low in the draft (27th).... probably because people thought he was "too thin" to be a big.

By the way, love how they compare his shooting mechanics to KG @ minute 11:00. Another guy who was too thin!

Yeah, I know. It was just completely unrelated and random, lol.

I'm a huge Paul Reed fan. Reminds me of a better rebounding Jerami Grant

Yeah, Reed has that same switchy defense that grant has. Is grant available?

Pretty sure Grant just turned down his $9.3m player option, so he'd be nearly impossible for us to get.
