His injury's have slowed him down, thinking too much about the game and not taking it to the hoop. He started to do that a little the last couple of games, but he's still lacking the explosiveness.
Plus KO had a nice turnaround after the all star break last year, when he got comfortable and the game slowed down for him. Smart's doesn't even have 20 games under his belt, so I bet things are moving a bit fast for him at times.
This summer he'll be able to work on his body, get that baby fat off and build lean fast muscle with the help of the training staff. I'm not too worried about it yet.
And the Marcus Banks 2.0 crap needs to stop. They are different players, Smart has the willingness to work at being a better basketball player, were Banks didn't just relied on his abilities he came in with. Give the kid a chance, if he doesn't improve in two years, then lay it one him. I mean did anybody think AB would even be in the league still after his first year, never mind being a half way decent player?
