I know the guy is small and may have some baagage, but the guy is an unrestricted free agent and in 06-07(his last yr w/ actual playing time) he avg nearly 5ast and 15ppg.
If we do not make any other moves or can not get Marbury/Brown, who ever. I would think this guy is worth a look if he is in shape and ready to play.

Though I did just read a Wikipedia page that said he is playing in an Italian league but was cut for behavioral issues then was let back on the team?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Earl Boykins...hmmm...I dunno, I think he could bring something off the bench but name a bigger defensive liability in the league.

That was kind of my point with the "I know the guy is small"

Good call.  At least Boykins can occasionally keep a guy in front of him, and just let them shoot a jumpshot.  Morrison prefers to open the door to the basket.

I think he needs to trim his mustache a bit, but I definitely think he could pull it off.  He could even turn it into a lucrative marketing campaign.

neither was my chair one, its the spirt that counts  :D.

I thought of a few  distasteful ones myself, mostly involving isiah, marbury, and a young intern that were even worse

  • Basketball is like chess, only without the dice
Is he better than House? No. Is he better than the 39 years old Cassell? I haven't seen Sam playing for awhile, but I very much doubt it. Is he better than Pruitt? Possible, we'd need to see more of Pruitt, but I doubt it.

Though I did just read a Wikipedia page that said he is playing in an Italian league but was cut for behavioral issues then was let back on the team?

Yes, that's true. The behavioral issue was flying back to the US - staying there for 5 days or so - during the Holidays without the permission of the team. He later apologized to everybody in the organization and is now back.
