Gerald Green: "Things ended good in Boston. Boston, obviously they made a lot of changes to their roster this year, and it’s for the better."

Wonder how IT Feels about that

IT gonna wish he didn't play in the playoffs during his Celtics tenure. Oh wait.

Gotta root for Gerald. Likable guy. Hope he gets a guaranteed contract, he belongs in the NBA.

Good for him. He's from the Houston area, I think.

does seem odd we didnt bring him back. he started playoff games for us last year, and helped win them.
classy demeanor all year last year. class comments above.

surprised there wasnt room for him here - stash yabusele another year, or use DPE room, or instead of Nader.

but cant argue w the results. in danny i trust. :)

Call IT vs. KI a wash.  Perhaps he is referring to Gordon Hayward, Aron Baynes and Marcus Morris as better than Avery Bradley, Amir Johnson and Jae Crowder, hmmm?

All good things for Gerald Green. He's a heck of a lot of fun to watch and he's had a tough road through professional basketball.

Well, I hope he sticks!  Stevens had some complimentary things to say about Gerald.
I was hoping that we would have signed him. Morey is always a step ahead of most GMS.
Hard to be picked up mid-season and be in game shape though.

Our bench needs help.

Yeah, he went for 18 tonight.
That's what you need from your bench. Production.
Boston needs to use the DPE and make a move prior to trade deadline!
Just to be competitive in the playoffs.

No James Harden last night. Houston beats the tar out of Orlando. Green had 27 points in 28 minutes off the bench.

Glad to see him doing well in Houston. I'd love to see them take out the Warriors and Green have a moment in the Finals. That would be fun.

Think he might have meant moving on from C's is for the betterment of his career. He never seemed to have the green light to score at will here. Other places really let Green score in iso and transition far more than BS' system would allow. I wish him well

I'm still haunted for posting positives about Green last year and that Brad stated how he used to fear Gerald when making his game plans.
I called him an assassin in Brads hands like a stilletto versus a all purpose knife.Green lost minutes to Jaylens ascent and he still tutored Jaylen and never complained was always playing with the young guys after practice and engaged on bench-
He had the athleticism to make things happen but 29 points in 27 minutes following two double digit games -no practices new team and out of basketball since pre season-that is aaaaaaaaaaaawesome

Yes, it would!
Gerald, like for example Beasley, really came out well in the end, after what looks like a too demanding beginning of their NBA careers.
High picks that disappointed, and after lowering our expectations they became "fringe" guys that delight.

Green, like Beasley, is still ridiculously inconsistent though.  Neither can stick with any team for long.

Yet as sixth or seventh men they fit the bill as scorers. Problem is if the teams or the players themselves think their roles are different

When you look at some of the players signed to NBA contracts and the money given to them,
Its hard to argue there is not a place for Beasley or Green.

Smart, Rozier, Brown are ridiculously inconsistent.
And please, lets not discuss the players on the Celtics Bench..

Watch the hightlights:

Now tell me there wasn't room for this on the Celtics Bench for a million dollar contract....heh

They are 2-3 in his stretch with the Rockets. In one of those wins they barely beat a depleted Lakers team (bottom 5 team in the NBA) in double overtime. They are giving up 117 points per game in that stretch.

I know there are other reasons for this. The Rockets are struggling lately and their players keep getting injured (too many minutes?), but its not like Green has drastically helped their team success.

That's kinda' always been the knock on him. CBS used him as a spark plug last year because he knew that Green could help in spurts, but not in consistent minutes.
