Well off topic or not I'm glad I asked. I learned something.

No sweat.  Anytime.  I don't like there being too many misconceptions out there.  Anytime you have a question about that feel free to Indeed Proceed.

I'll have to pass on the question since I'm on Danny Ainge's team.   :)

im not on the same team as ainge, but i dont drink alcohol as well.

Hey, who said anything about drinking alcohol. I said beer.  So I guess drinking Buckler like the vice president counts. Barely

Anytime I am at a bar I am drinking out of a glass, the beer just seems so much more smoother.  If I am at home I tend to drink from bottles.
do it

We used to use the pewter beer steins, kept in the freezer. Otherwise, bottles. I don't think much of the beer I drink even comes in cans.

Pewter, not glass? Don't you find that it leaves an aftertaste?

Actually my mug had a glass bottom. No aftertaste, though. Kind of an 80s thing.

Wait, what did Jim Koch say?

I personally prefer to drink out of a pint glass or a mug.  I will occasionally drink out of the bottle, if I don't feel like doing dishes later, but I am convinced it tastes better out of a glass (and that is a GLASS...no plastic).

He said something to the effect of drinking from a glass is the best way to do it because of the aroma and smell.

he's also trying to sell his Sam Boston Lager glass, which is admittedly excellent

I tend to prefer draft beer, so I'll go with glass/mug.

I like draft beer too but I mainly drink at restaurants and many of them don't clean their beer lines on a regular basis. So I go for bottles a lot.

That is a fantastic point, and one a lot of people don't realize. Drink draft beers from local brewers, esp those with independent distributorships. There is a much higher chance that they're sending a guy around to do that every week or so.

EDIT: I have a good friend who was a CSR or whatever (the guy who sells beer and taplines to bars) for Harpoon. He gave me this tip, and if the rest of the brewery busts their butt as much as he does, if you're in Boston drink Harpoon.

You know I have gotten a really bad stomach ache a few times drinking Bass draft, so I've pretty much given it up. I now wonder if it had something to do with the lines not being cleaned. I figure Bass isn't the biggest selling draft so maybe they don't clean the lines as often.

Every cold beer should be poured into a glass before consumption.

Depends on the situation.
Most of the time (ie: when I am drinking a craft brew) a glass.
Celtics fan for life.
