I'd take a shot on Killian Hayes. He has talent but he's on a team of all youngsters. I think he'd benefit from coming off of our bench. He's still only 22.

My weird Pistons backcourt target is Hamidou Diallo.  He’s even a free agent, so he’s super cheap!

I would grab Hamidou Diallo too:

These highlights make a better case for Hayes than Diallo, LOL

I'd do Hayes for PP, Champagnie and Kornet and a couple of seconds.

I haven't watched a minute of Hayes play basketball and I think this is reasonable.
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

I'm not a fan of Hayes at all.  He's had a couple of good games against the Celts, but overall he's just not a very good player.  I'd rather have Pritchard.

I think that Hayes would make a solid combo guard off the bench. He's still only 22 and hasn't been in any kind of stable situation in Detroit. I like Pritchard but Hayes is clearly the best player in this trade. Last year Hayes averaged the same number of assists as Marcus Smart. Smart led the Celtics in assists last year.

He's a career 37% FG. Lowest in the league last year.

Yup. I would think that number would go way up as a role player off the bench. He's an 82% free throw shooter. Definitely room for lots of improvement.

Yeah.  I had a post about how bad Killian Hayes is, but I must have deleted it before posting.  He's bad a 2PT shooting, 3PT shooting, getting to the line, rebounding.  He's got a fairly high turnover percentage.  In terms of advanced stats, he's been one of the worst players in the league for three straight years, whether it be in terms of VORP, WS, BPM, etc.

Assist to turnover ratio is better than Kyrie, Quickley, Maxey, Smart, Garland, Brogdon...

What's that prove?

He's a lousy scorer, a lousy shooter, a lousy rebounder, a lousy defender (top-20 in the NBA in personal fouls), he's lousy at getting to the line.  He's one of the worst players in the NBA.

He puts up slightly decent assist numbers on a lousy team.

That is all why he'd be a buy low candidate.
