Kawhi here I come..just kidding...kind of. Watch us sign Durant this time around. Something big is brewing for sure. Did Kyrie secretly give Danny a sign this big free agent name and I will return? :) With no center though we have zero chance of beating a few of the top teams in the east though but things might still get crazy around here.

Any ideas what we could be clearing as much cap space as possible for?

Celtics cap scenarios:
Horford/Kyrie leave, trade Baynes, renounce Mook: $18.4 mil
then renounce Larkin/Gibson/Wanamaker/Theis: $24. mil
then renounce Rozier: $32.4 mil
trade out 22 pick: $33.8 mil
trade away all picks: $38 mil.
waive Semi: $38.8 mil (max space scneario)

Thats essentially half our team, then what?

To be fair...a lot of those guys are not playing much...and Mook, Kyrie and Al are all but gone. Most people here would rather have present day Ainge play point over Rozier...so it is not like they are losing anymore than we expected. Clearing the decks to build around Tatum, Smart, Hayward, Williams and the rookies they draft tonight

:) TP

We should never underestimate what Danny is capable of doing. Watch us somehow get a max star and then trade for a center. This place would erupt. One can hope he makes good, shocking trades as opposed to the other kinds.

Probably the most accurate meme out there to describe DA. DA going for a record 15 new players next season!

The #Celtics are positioning themselves to have several options, financially. Of course, one big question is whether they wish to re-sign Terry Rozier. That's a domino that would cost them between $10-15M. They're expected to target trading for a star first, like Bradley Beal.

Didn't Washington offer him an extension?  Something like 110mm?  I thought I saw that somewhere (just the headline so who knows)

Just would point out that if Beal is the target, there is no need to move Baynes if the team plans to move on from Rozier.  They can fit Beal into cap space if they renounce Rozier.  So either 1) Beal isn’t a primary target, 2) Rozier hasn’t ESPN-talk-showed himself out of Boston, or 3) Baynes isn’t being heavily shopped.

A roster that includes all of Rozier, Smart, Beal, Brown, Hayward, and Tatum would see a lot of minutes with pretty small lineups.

They did offer him an extension.  I don’t remember the amount but it didn’t seem like something he’d be interested in taking.  He’s voiced uncertainty at the long-term direction of the franchise, and with a GM spot that hasn’t been filled for over 2.5 months, it’s hard to believe he’s suddenly good with that.

Someone willing to think outside the conventional box?

(I got nothing)

I fully endorse cleaning house, but no way Baynes should be traded without his consent.

Honestly my favorite part of that quote is that Rozier is clearly not the top priority. Great news, I was worried DA was a big fan of him.
