Does anyone find it a bit amusing that the Sixers signed Horford to insane contract, a year later traded him due to not gelling  with them and now replaced him with Howard! lol..enjoy Howard Sixers fans...I cannot imagine Embiid and Him will not have at least one big hiccup with each other before seasons end.

Doc and Howard finally join forces....😂😂They just missed each other in 2004..right?!

You know Doc loves his vets. The older they are the more minutes they get.
Howard on vet minimum is one of the better signings.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I know a lot of people are pushing for Ibaka, Giles, Baynes right now but the c's main need is now at wing. Assuming Smart now starts you have Langford and Nesmith penciled in as your backup wings, and not really much else. Meanwhile my guess is the c's would prefer Williams earn the backup center spot so they'll probably go low cost tehre for a 3rd stringer and use the MLE for s wing.

KCP on the MLE 3/30?
I'm not really a big fan of KCP but you're right he is probably the best 3 and d guy available. The only other wing I like that is still available is Glenn Robinson III.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I don't think KCP is worth the MLE to be honest. His offensive game is limited. Not a good enough handle or passing ability. Doesn't drive much. Mostly a catch and shoot guy. He plays good defense on SGs. Does not do as well on SFs. Doesn't help much on the boards.

You are pretty much paying him to shoot 3s and play some D and he has been up and down from 3 for large chunks of his career.

I think he is worth more like the bi-annual exception rather than the MLE but someone will likely better that on the FA market since KCP got to play next to LeBron and piggy back his way to a Championship.

Who's left regarding wing players?

Bogdonavich; but would have to do a sign and trade, probably including Smart and Theis. I'd do it, but there'd be a palace revolt is my guess.

I'd move Theis in a deal for him, but hell no to moving Smart for Bogdanovic.

I want Buddy Hield if we are moving Smart. Not Bogdanovic.

Hield is a cold blooded killer out there. Hield and Kemba in the backcourt for shooting alongside Jaylen and Tatum at forward. Man, that is an explosive offense! Hugely difficult to matchup effectively against. Threats everywhere.

Can’t wait to see how this plays out. I’d love one of T Thompson or Ibaka with the MLE. And whoever we can get with the BAE, too.

Also, if CHA doesn’t do a s&t with us after gifting them Rozier last season in the same scenario, then they can go screw themselves.

Always the possibility of sticking to one year deals and getting in on the Giannis sweepstakes next season, too. All we’d need to do is ‘dump’ Kemba. It’s not over for us yet. Keep your heads up high fellas!

We will not trade Smart. His tenacity and grit is basically the glue that holds the identity of this team together. I think us Celtics fan should prepare for either no additions or a seriously minimal one.

The next thread here is the one about where Kemba is going because there's no point to keep Kemba in Boston.

And right now Tatum hasn't signed his max extension either so there's that.

You're probably right, but truth is pickings out there are slim. Guys who can sort of play defense and sort of shoot are in short supply. KCP is an option, just saw the Torrey Craig got his qualifying option pulled so he's unrestricted now.

Maybe CHA will when all is said and done do us a solid and make the Hayward move a sign and trade allowing the c's to generate a big trade exception. You could then do a sign and trade with Bogdan say 3 years 51 million or something. But that requires CHA to cooperate, and SAC to play ball as well.
