Taking a step away from Celtics speculation.

I wanted to point out that the Suns could be in for an interesting day.

It seems pretty clear that they will draft Ayton at #1.

After that there is alot of trade buzz that could involve the suns.

1. Lakers looking to move up to get Zhaire Smith, at the same time they need to move Deng's contract if they land James and George in order to have room for a third big signing. Do the Lakers offer Ball + Deng to the Suns for #16 + #31? #16 might be high enough for the Lakers to get Zhaire and if its not they can package #16 and #25 to move up again.

2. Nuggets want to move Faried's contract and are rumored to be shopping him with the #14 pick. Suns could offer #31 for #14 and Faried. The then would have #14 and #16 to package up with if they have a target in mind.

3. Memphis is reportedly looking to package the #4 pick with Parsons to move his god awful contract. Many are speculating that anyone can have the pick that is willing to take the contract but I think this seems unlikely. To me its more likely that the Suns offer #16+#31 to Memphis for #4 and Parsons. In that deal they could end up drafting Ayton and Doncic.

4. More of a long shot and not rumor based like the previous 3 but I could see a situation where the Suns make an offer to the Cs for Rozier. Like I posted before a package built around Ulis and #16 for Rozier  could make some sense for both sides. Ultimately I think Rozier is a celtics until next season trade deadline.

With the trade deadline game I found out that the Suns indeed have a lot of assets and possible strategies going forward. How dreadful their current team may be on the court, many teams will be envious on the possible options they can choose from.

In virtualy any trade you can think of for another team you can find a way for the Suns to get a piece out of it. Or they can just go on stockpiling assets.

I believe the Suns have the cap room to do this. The rumor floating around has been Jackson and #1 for Leonard

Rozier, our 27, and the Clippers pick for 16 (and salary) and go get Robert Williams.

Yeah, that's a HUGE overpay. Rozier is worth that pick and more on his own

Is that a no because of value or a no because you don't like Williams? Or both? Or neither?

For me, that is a big no because of value and a big no because I don't like Williams.

Value.  I’m agnostic on Williams — I think a player like Williams can have a valuable NBA career.  I’m not remotely convinced that player is Williams.

ayton is not from Arizona, he was born and raised in the Bahamas and has only been in Arizona for a couple years

Bagley was born and raised in Arizona
