Initial reaction:

Stupid move by Baltimore.  Serves them right though for giving Flacco so much money.

Great move by SF.  Adding an "almost elite" WR to that core should ensure they stay at the topf of the NFC.

Overall, rather strange.  How often do you see the SB opponents make a trade in the off-season immediately after involving a player of this high a profile?  I'd guess, rarely, if ever.

Wow.

Great great move for SF.  I have been surprised to see Crabtree develop as less of a possession receiver (like I imagined when he came in) and more as a play maker with Kaepernick.  And now Boldin can be their possession type.  A lot of potential as a combo.

I think the Ravens will be a lot worse next year.

Boldin was really good in the playoffs.

I doubt he'll be that good again ever. His been underwhelming most of his time in Baltimore.

Holy crap, this gets even worse for Baltimore.

All they get in return is a SIXTH round pick.  :o

As was Flacco.

I like his chances with a developing Kaepernick.  He has proven to be a very high quality receiver if he gets the ball thrown to him.

He was downright dominant in the playoffs.  Murdered the Colts in the second half.

Wow. There go my hopes of Boldin in NE.
Also, looks like Harvin is headed to Seattle.
Nice moves by two good teams in the NFC.

Flacco isn't a 32 year old reciever. That's a big difference, though I still don't love the money Flacco got.

The Colts secondary was bad, murdering them doesn't really impress me. His overall lack of production and his age is why Baltimore moved him.

They were going to cut him for salary cap room. Getting a sixth round pick in that situation is actually a good deal.

Wow, this does make for a really interesting post-script to the Super Bowl.

Flacco loses his security blanket.  Probably a guy that Baltimore shouldn't have tried to play hardball with in regards to salary.

Not sure what Boldin will accomplish with SF but should be an upgrade on the corpse that was Randy Moss.

One less team to try an make an offer for Cruz.

I'm happy.

I think you're vastly underrating Boldin.  He was quite possibly one of the biggest reasons Baltimore won the SB.  He's been good for a number of years.

In my opinion, cutting him would have been an even bigger mistake.

I suppose, if the plan is to replace Boldin with a guy like Jennings, then that might be considered a good move.

Best case senario here, the jury is still out.

If the Giants don't re-sign Cruz I will personally burn down MetLife Stadium.

He has to be priority #1
