I'm curious to see how divided the attention span of Celtics fans is going to be.  Luckily, the games are staggered, with the Bruins not starting until 8:00.  That means I should be able to catch a good deal of the Bruins game by watching during commercials, during halftime, and after the Celts game.

What about you?  Are there any fans on this blog who will make the Bruins their first priority?  It is a Game 7, after all.

Start making plans to hit your local sports bar people. If you're like me you'll want to see both of these games with a turn of the head.

Nevertheless, my head will be focused on the Celtics 80% of the time.

Same as Roy.  Commercials, after, etc...

But if the Bruins game isn't close I'll watch Celtics postgame over Bruins...

I'll be watching Game 6, and occasionally glancing at Game 7.  Maybe find somewhere that is showing both games.

Also gotta break out the DVR for The Office season finale @ 9.

Picture in picture is a beautiful thing!!

Large screen Celtics with the B's in the small screen in the bottom right and flip back and forth during when something great happens in the B's game or the C's are in commercial.

Boy it's great being a Boston sports fan!!

  • What a Pub Should Be
If I don't go to a bar...(could be a big IF)

Then, I'll probably be doing what I've been doing so far (besides last night when I was at the Garden) which has been to watch the entire 1st period of the B's, switch at intermission to the C's, switch back to B's for 2nd period, C's at 2nd intermission, then channel surf the rest of the way depending on how each game is going.

The staggered start really does allow you to watch most of the hockey game and still get to catch most of the 2nd half of the C's.

I've mentioned before I've never cared for hockey, but I do like to see a local team do well, and I've actually watched a little bit of the Bruins playoffs.  And I must admit, it gets pretty exciting.  I can only imagine what it would be like if I was emotionally invested and knew all the rules to hockey.

That being said, I might check the score during Celtics commercials, but other than that, it's all game 6 for me.

If both games were being shown in the UK, I'd watch the Celtics, but I'll only have live coverage of the Bruins.

  • Yup
C's with some B's during commercials and halftime

Hate to do it, but I have an awful lot more devotion to the Celtics

It's ashame that they're playing on the same nights the last few game.  Early on this round they were alternating nights, then the B's got two days off.

Versus does stink that way.  Couldn't they stagger the starts of the two games, maybe one at 6:30 and one at 9:00 or something?  It's terrible that there's a Game 7 that only roughly 10% (or less) of the population will be able to see.

I'll be doing what I've been doing all along. C's with the Bruins during commercial breaks and at halftime.

Celtics all the way.  I just don't care about hockey, sorry... I've tried, but I have no interest in it.
