Hard to get a better big for 1.8m, especially one who had a year in the system.
He's tall and he's cheap - which makes keeping him attractive.

One out of two ain't bad (he's 6'8")

I always thought he was 6' 10".  So I guess he's a long 6' 8" lol

He's actually a short 6'8" but for his cap hold price you:LL be hard pressed to find a better option.

We’ve al watched Theis play for two years; he is clearly a center, regardless of his listed height.

I don't want him back.

Theis and Rob Williams is two roster spots on one position players who are uncertain to low level contributors. Keep one. Cut the other one lose. And bring in a more reliable solid bench big man.

We need big man depth though losing Horford, Baynes, and a stretch 4 Morris.  We may only be able to pick up 1 big with the room exception and possibly a minimum contract guy unless Ainge gets really creative.

Theis played better his rookie year, and has a nice shooting stroke to stretch the floor.   I don’t mind bringing him back.

Theis is awesome. He should definitely be back. And won’t need to be renounced to add Kemba.

Minimum contract guys can replace and be an upgrade over Theis.

Theis showed a lot of flashes 2 years ago but was disappointing last season. I have to assume injuries definitely played a part though, and hopefully we can keep him and he's healthier this season. He can definitely still contribute and is solid depth for us. And I mean, it's not stopping us from going after another big man out there.

Maybe they need his salary for a trade.

Great.

I like theis.

He can backup the 4 or 5. Good guy to bring back.

Assuming no magic happens to preserve the full mle then the bigman rotation next season is.

Tatum/williams/yabusele
Looney?/Theis/williams3

I am ok with that.

Good backup! Terrible starter! But at this point, I’ll take anyone who can rebound

Ever since his rookie season injury he hasn't looked the same. Hope he can get back to that form

Theis was much better his first season.

I wonder if he his post surgery recovery factored in and is due for a bounce back? He definitely can help if healthy.

I'm glad. I like Theis Theis Baby. He's not perfect but you will never complain about his effort.
