Other than the failure to defend Gasol in the 3rd, this was a great defensive effort. Seriously, if we just took away his 3 pointers and forced him into drives or passes, the Griz score like 75.

Thank the gods we never traded for Ben McLemore who many here thought we should have traded for.

Didn't guard the perimeter very well, though.  They shpt 41% from 3, and we're only giving up 34% on the season.  They struggled from inside, though.

That was a solid win on the 2nd night of a back to back and the team had to fly all the way to Memphis. Good win! On to Indiana!

You make it sound like they flew to Mexico City or Europe. Haha. It's Tennessee what a 2 hour flight?

For what it is worth, a direct flight is about five hours.  Siri gave me an answer In less than five seconds.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Beautiful 4th quarter by The Celtics!
They picked up the defense and the offense followed.

And who sparked that run? Marcus Smart.

which run? smart didn't come into the 4th until the last 5 minutes. the run to begin it was with horford and larkin running the show. some good play by tatum and clutch buckets from rozier. the last 5 minutes was basically maintaining the lead those guys got us in the first half of the 4th.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Smart and rozier do not pair well

We need to let go of one and get a consistent 3 and D scoring guard

Just woke up and saw the result, nice result.

On your comment CelticsElite: a 3D player would be an upgrade over Rozier, but I think you underestimate how hard they are to get. I remember discussing (was it with DWC?) why NOP did not get any good wings last summer and the answer was there was none available at an affordable price.

As things are, despite his shortcomings, Rozier fills a useful role and he comes at a very reasonable rookie price. And once Hayward is back it will matter less anyway.

Also, hwangjini good to see we share the same optimism.

I think mr. dee meant to say that Smart sparked the team from the bench. So did the view of Marc Gasol getting a rest.  Theis played well during that stretch too and hit a near dagger 3 running the lead back up to 14 points.

Smart's intangibles are so powerful he can dominate the game from the bench.

If nothing else, Smart has impacted how aggressive Jaylen Brown is on defense, which is a leading reason why Brown deserve an All-Defensive Team nod this year.

I love hearing Smart yell "Get out (name)" when we play small ball. Like, multiple times last night, Smart defended the guy in the corner when a pick-and-roll action was happening at the top of the key. Al and Terry (or Kyrie, or Shane) switched which left Gasol diving and trying to post up our point guards as the ball was swung.

Smart jumped into action with excitement in his voice and yelled "Get out," telling our little guys to take his man in the corner while he takes Gasol. I love that about Smart.
