Assuming we resign Smart for 10 million per year this summer, here is a projection of our payroll in 2019-2020.

1. Hayward $32,700,690
2. Kyrie $32,400,000  (cap projected to be $108 million, 8-year veteran --> 30% of the cap)
3. Horford $30,123,015
4. Smart let's say $10,000,000
5. Tatum $7,830,000
6. Brown $6,534,829
7. #27 pick $1,920,960
8. Ojeleye $1,618,520
9. Kings 2019 pick : since we got both Brown and Tatum at #3, let's assume we end up with #3 once again 8) --> $7,758,000

I'm not including Yabu and Nader cause, well, they suck. Hopefully, they won't be here by then. :P Not including other future picks either (Clips, Grizzlies, our own pick in 2019). Let's just assume we fill out the rest of the roster with vet minimum guys and a couple of MLE guys as well.

10. $8,568,000 (Non-Taxpayer MLE in 2018-19)
11. $5,659,000 (Taxpayer MLE in 2019-20)
12. vet min $1,603,638
13. vet min $1,603,638
14. vet min $1,603,638
15. Rozier ? ? ? ? ?
Demetrius Jackson $92,857

SUM: $150,016,785 !!!!!!!!!!

That's without counting Rozier's salary. To put it another way, it seems that we cannot keep both Smart and Rozier. The thing is, with the emergence of scary Terry, people are wondering whether we should trade Kyrie instead. So here's my question:

Rozier - Smart - Kyrie. One of them has to go. Who's the odd man out?

For what it's worth, my plan would be to trade Rozier (+ Yabu? + pick(s)?) on draft night for the highest pick I could possibly get.

I would like to keep Yabusele still, think he has high potential, worse he still has trade value for some other teams.

I would like to keep Smart, I think with Kyrie and Hayward both healthy, that is plenty of offense to go around. Someone like Smart is invaluable, he's the Draymond Green of our team, minus the nutcracking, and dirty playing lol.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

Horford has a player option for 19-20, so at 33 years of age that summer, a good compromise would be to have him not exercise that option and instead sign a long term deal at a greatly reduced yearly rate.

Ya if he opts out maybe he would take like a 3 year deal at 20 per. Of course even then we still likely are not keeping both Rozier and Smart long term (we aren't trading kyrie). I would trade Rozier and whatever for a pick and take a big

I am not so sure Danny has built Terry into a PG who has shown flashes of amazing to dump him for a top 10-15 rookie who is unproven- Of course Danny could fall in love with someone in this draft so we all know anything is possible.

I think we go into next season with both Terry and Kyrie- see how Kyrie rebounds from injury before jettisoning our other PG- If both have high value into Jan/ Feb, start to explore possible blockbuster trades. Danny wont be aftaid to expose both to best offers so anything could happen then.

Now, if somehow one of the top 4-6 lottery teams ask for Terry and Danny has another Tatum/Brown in his sites, we might meed to bite at that. Danny would most likely not resist unless he believes Terry is the answer going forward. It also wouldnt shock me if he floated Kyrie’s name out there for a true Big- Offseason should be interesting to say the least!

Couldn’t the $14M+ in MLE be replaced with cheaper two-way contracts?  The team has plenty of talent already.

I mean you don't have to sign two MLE guys in consecutive years, so that can eliminate some salary. Then I think we will see some consolidation at the back end of the roster. It also shows why every penny counts when talking to Smart and potentially signing Al to a longer term, lower per annum deal.

This team should not be afraid to keep all 3 of these guys. They can be a big part of our championship window, too many teams have traded guys away to soon and seen their opportunity disappear
