Not sure what to think : game 4 was a close one despite C's horrible shooting, and they have the keys for this series but confidence is clearly on the Raptors' side...

Anyway, let's give everything !

GO C's !

Not gonna lie, Game 4 shook my swag.

Hoping Game 5 is where Tatum goes off.

It rarely happens with CBS, but I thought he was out coached in games 3 and 4. Let's see if he adjusts.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Lowry is the biggest problem.  He is attacking the basket hard, and we end up doubling, even triple teaming to prevent him from scoring. This leaves multiple guys open on 3 point line, and our guys are over committing rather than hedging on perimeter defense.  Rewatched Game 4 film, and saw this repeatedly.

Gary Washburn says that the guys who are killing us are OG and Siakam.

We forget that although this team lost Kawhi, it did not have OG last season in playoffs. He has really given us problems both offensively and defensively. Really stepped up.

Brad pulled Time Lord when Siakam hit a 3 off pick and pop. Rob has to be better covering him, but 3/4 Siakam 3's were on Theis not Rob.   And going small with Grant Williams is just a poor coaching response.

Consider:

Starting Wannamaker over Smart, so Smart can come in off the bench.  Brad has actually played quite well in his minutes.   It's not like Marcus is shutting down Lowry; Lowry is attracting double teams every time he penetrates, which is 2/3 plays it seems.

Also consider starting TL so that he can play more minutes vs Gasol, and cut down his  pick and pop Ibaka minutes.

Why?

Stevens plays his starters with his bench on the regular. He substitutes very quickly at times, prime example being taking Theis out after just a couple minutes after the game started on two occasions.

There is simply no need to be screwing with the starting lineup. Who started and who came off the bench were not the reasons the Celtics lost the last two games. A miracle shot and going 5 for 22 on wide open three point looks were the reason for the losses.

The Celtics defense, by and large, has been terrific. It's been the Celtics offense that has been the problem the last two games and it's mostly just not hitting open shots. Starting Wanamaker and Timelord instead of Smart and Theis isn't going to solve that problem.

Gotta hit open 3's, or we're gonna lose. 5-22 on open 3's is unacceptable. We got to the basket and the free throw line all night in game 4, and it wasn't enough because of how poorly we shot 3's.

Maybe. Maybe not.  Continuing to play the same not the solution for sure.  What is your advice? Just play harder? Better? Make your shots?

Well the other team did that exactly...plus with the minutes in 40’s for all off the key players
