That Tatum-Horford match-up jumps out at me.  I don't see how Horford can keep up with him.  "Hey Al, ya' gonna come out to the 3-pt. line to guard me?"

Tatum in general seems to kill the Sixers. Hope that continues in these playoffs.

I wonder how much time Timelord will get on Embiid. It's going to have to be a group effort on Embiid. That said he didn't look that comfortable with his hand during Philly's final season game thrashing of Houston.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

This is still a tough match up for us.  Teams with length give us trouble.  We don't really have anyone to match up with either Embiid or Horford.

Yes, you can flip the match up and say Horford will have to stay with Tatum or someone but that ends up meaning you live (or die) even more by the 3.  They will pound it inside and rack up Free Throws and clog the middle on defense, forcing us to take outside shots (which is OK if we hit enough of them).

I do feel we can shoot well enough to beat them in the series, but I expect a tough series.

Go Celtics!!

Tatum in general seems to kill the Sixers. Hope that continues in these playoffs.

Tatum has actually this year been pretty pedestrian against the 76ers, he's averaged 19 points per game on like 33% shooting. Of course that was with Ben Simmons.

For what its worth I doubt Horford is on Tatum, most likely Tobias Harris or Richardson guard Tatum.

Well yeah this year that's true. Though in the only win we had against PHI this regular season, Tatum had 25 points. He averaged 24 PPG on 53% shooting in our playoff series against PHI a few years ago, and 20 points, 9 rebounds a game against them last season on 47% shooting.

I do think the Sixers will try to neutralize Tatum though. That's probably their focus, so it means Kemba and Brown in particular are going to have to deliver.

In a sense though, this match-up is ideal.  An opportunity for the C’s to get playoff intensity v. a team with length and strength inside.  I think it will benefit the C’s to get 5 or 6 games v. Embiid. Hopefully C’s talent will win out.

Thought:

If Romeo can't play due to wrist, who do you suit up?  Against Sixers, a case could be made to put Tacko Fall or Vinnie P on roster rather than Waters or Edwards or Javonte, as they are big bodies who could give us a few minutes vs Embiid. I'd actually like to see how Tacko would do defensively vs Embiid. Might frustrate him.  We would not need to double team in the block.

In that regard, yes, if this helps us get ready to play teams with length, great.  Our path is probably PHI (Horford and Embiid), Toronto (Siakam and Gasol), and Milwaukee (Antetokounmpo, Lopez).  And it probably won't get any easier for us in the finals.

Sometimes, Stevens does this.

He pulls Tatum early in the quarter so he can finish it.
He pulls Kemba and Theis.

This leaves him with:
Smart
Brown
Hayward
Semi
Kanter

Then Tatum rolls back in for Brown at the end of the quarter. Philly has a good bench, but, not that good.

This can be done.
