Comeon guys, lets stop going nuts here.

C's arent trying, and wont be trying until the playoffs.

Doc needs to bench the starters for the rest of the season and bring them back a few games before the playoffs start.

Whats the point of having them out there running the risk of injury if they arent going to try anyways?

C's are clearly costing.

Wake me up when the playoffs start.

Guess they were all just lying  when they said home court is important this year.

it was initially...until the "health"  ::) problems started. now "health" is more important.

I saw this loss coming from a mile away, but i always choose to watch anyway. These guys will lose to any team that plays 4 quarters with energy.

For the record, I called this game a loss when we went down by 8 in the first quarter and you guys laughed at me.

I know this team, I know their levels of play, and tonight they mailed it in the first quarter and I knew this was a loss from the start.

When this team comes out slow and gets down early 9 times out of 10 we lose that game.

Thats just the way it is. Bench may be able to bail out the starters once every 10 games, but usually if we get down early, it means the starters have mailed it in.

hard to feel confident about the post-season right now.  just like last season, early in the season i thought the celtics couldn't be beaten in a 7 game series; over the course of the season, that certainty has been eroded to the point where i have more confidence in at least 3 or 4 other teams.

this season we don't even have the comfort of the lakers looking worse towards the end to take the edge off.  the lakers look really good right now even with kobe not playing great.

the thought of watching the celtics play the 76ers or knicks in the first round is moderately horrifying right now.  either series would go for 6 or 7 games and tire the team out a lot.

Oh come on, you're worried about the postseason because of a blowout loss agaisnt Houston in March?

no.

im worried about the post-season because the celtics have been out of sorts basically since the all-star break and haven't looked dominant or even consistent for any significant stretch of time since then.  especially troubling is the fact that our "MVP", the "engine that stirs the drink" has been playing truly lousy for a long while now.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Laughing on these boards should be off limits when we lose by over 20 points. Just my opinion, I am fuming.

Yea, how dare us laugh at some of the posters on here throwing in the towel when, in fact, this team is doing the EXACT same act as last year around this time? Actually, they started this act LONG before this point in the season last year. This team is old. They have to pace themselves or else they'll be burnt out come the second round of the playoffs.

Can't believe I didn't go to sleep in order to watch the game, it's 3:42 am here and I don't know why I'm still watching. Oh well. Good night everybody, hopefully tomorrow's back to back won't be as bad and will be a win. Who knows?

in Bird's days, these types of games would happen once or twice a year where they'd just absolutely stink up the joint and get pounded.  The consolation was that you knew Larry and gang would come the next game and just pound on the next team (and usually it would go on for a few games).  With this team, there just doesn't seem to be that level of pride in their game to come back from a game like this and just pound the opposition into submission.  Now, we're just hopeful they can occasionally win on the second night of a back-to-back.

Ah Celtics Pride, how far it has fallen.   :(

The defense (or more appropriately lack thereof) is atrocious.  I mean can you show a little effort.

This is comical watching the play-by-play.

Avery Bradley steps out of bounds. Kevin Martin travelling.

Davis being your high scorer and being destroyed in the 3pt stat. Celtics are 1/9 right now. Not a good sign. Now I'm not bashing Davis (for once) I'm just saying that when you have the names you have on your team and a bench guy is your lead scorer, that's not good.
