Calling it right now - Smart is having a breakout year. He looks so much better than last year already. His offense is much more dynamic.

Ya he may have missed that layup at the rim but you can see increased explosiveness. We talk a lot about the shooting, but even if that doesn't improve being able to get to the rim would help ALOT.

What really stood out is the patience. He came off a screen at the top of the key with about 7 seconds left on the shot clock. In the past season he would've shot an ill-advised 3. Instead, he caught it took a couple of dribbles below the 3pt line and with proper balance took a nice pull up jumper.

Love Smart -- I am good with his shots tonight.  Last game he threw up 7 3's in the first half.  I do think he needs to put up 3's during games to build muscle memory for his new shot, but I hope he contains his urge to put it up every time he has a little daylight. Unless he's suddenly shooting 40% from 3.

Sixers are shooting really really well. Especially 3s. They've made almost as many 3s as we've attempted.

And we're still up one. Our offense is gonna be dOPE this year.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

Did anyone hear Goodman on Mannix's podcast talk about being worried Smart wouldn't be able to guard 3's anymore because he lost weight? lol

Smart won't be covering 3's much this season so its not really much of a problem.

Okay, what in the world is with Philly hitting all of these threes? They're not like wide open threes either...
3 very good contests that swished.

This offense is beautiful at times with the movement and extra passes.

Tatum > Brown.

Isn't even going to be close.

Joe Johnson  > Kedrick Brown

Tatum is on a whole different talent level. All star type talent level. At 19

Okay, we may need to slow down. I love Tatum, but the guy isn't all star level anything. YET.

He's got the talent to be. You can see it right away. At 19.

If you are saying he is good enough to be an all star at nineteen, you are very wrong. If you are saying he could be an all star one day, you are very right.

I'm saying the latter. Although if you put him on the Nets, he'd have the ability to be an all star at 19

Haha, okay sorry I misunderstood. I'm a little nervous about people going crazy with these young guys. Rookies almost always need time. Tatum will be very good, he's a scorer. And he has potential to be pretty good defensively too. And he seems bigger than I thought.

I love this team!

Yeah, I'm already enjoying this team much more than last year's iteration. I still wish we had AB, who would be a phenomenal fit next to Kyrie, but you can tell the ceiling of this team is just so much higher than last year's team.

I love this team!

Hayward is great , even when he is not scoring.   Great IQ.

I take it Hayward had decided to join the game.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
