Sad that this happens.  The player receiving the red card apparently went to his bag, got a gun, and killed the ref.

sad thing is, I'm positive it's just a matter of time until it happens here --> not necessarily a player but someone p---ed off about poor officiating taking out a ref/ump.

Have you read Gilbert's take of the day/situation?

Seems to me like Gilbert was showing off his unloaded guns to Crittenton (by hanging them at his locker) in order to taunt him, and in response Crittenton (who was obviously a violent gang member) pulled his own loaded gun, cocked it, and pointed it at Gilbert, who then got scared and left.

Whether or not Arenas is a violent person, is TBD.  I don't think owning firearms and violating where you can have a firearm, necessarily makes you a violent person, or should lead to people joking about you murdering someone.

Same thing with Delonte, if you read his take on the night he got arrested, it gives you some perspective/context on the situation other than just the "story" that the media wants to put out there for ratings.  Once you read it, he seems much less like a crazy guy.
