Chris Paul is a great player and a future HOFer.
I doubt that he is as bad as some say.
The media is driving this false narrative about Rajon Rondo being the bad guy - even some posters HERE have did this, too - for various reasons.
This is their choice, their right.
Rajon Rondo will ALWAYS be a Celtic to ME. The things he did in Green...the memories...I cannot (and WILL not) simply wish them away since he's now wearing Lakers purple and gold.
At Rondo's Prime - it was heavily rumored that Danny would trade him for Chris Paul - straight up. This was even considering how at the time Chris Paul was viewed as a better shooter than Rondo.
Rondo was THAT GOOD. He still EVEN NOW flashes this talent. Ask Isaiah Thomas in the 2016-17 Playoffs versus CHI.
Rondo would've retired a Celtic - if Danny would've let him. Chris Paul? Well.......
http://www.espn.com/boston/nba/story/_/id/7297944/new-orleans-hornets-chris-paul-sign-boston-celtics-dealt-source-saysAll of the chatter about Boston's interest in Chris Paul is a moot point because the All-Star point guard will not sign a long-term contract extension with the Celtics, according to a person close to the situation.
There you are.
I hope that both Rajon AND CP3 can put this stuff behind them - and I also hope that LeBron James can choose his TEAM. The optics behind him pulling away CP3 did NOT look good - even if he meant nothing behind it.
I believe he did not.
In any event The Los Angeles Lakers have one of the last TRUE competitors left in the NBA. Rajon Rondo will lay it on the line for LA and make his teammates smarter and better.
