that's the most uncomfortable thing i have ever seen
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

That was somethin' special

If he was for real Letterman was being kinda mean (but I guess that's his job).

If it was an act it was well done!
Yup

He has to do something.  He is getting nothing from his guest.

Was the retirement secretly coded within a story about a rat?  ;D
Not sure why it has that title but I just wanted to show the difference between the 2 interviews. 3 years and the guy turned into **** Ozzy Osbourne.

I think Joaquin was clearly messed up on something....then they seemed to be thoroughly annoyed with each other.  that's all.

Its obviously a ploy. Phoenix has been acting crazy lately for publicity in my opinion with this and the stupid rap annoucement and I am sure an awful show like The Late Show was happy to push his agenda in return for some material and something that would make people talk about it. Sorry, I must admit I find David Letterman to be extremely unfunny  ;)

Yep... Andy Kaufman called... he wants his gimmick back, Joaquin.

It always amazes me how gullible people can be.   It's like they have never heard of performance art.

ANyways on Joaquin: "He will be the subject of a documentary directed by his friend and brother-in-law Casey Affleck; the documentary will follow him as he moves to a career making hip-hop music. Filming begins in early 2009."

I'd bet my life that this is a mockumentary.  His behavior on Letterman is just a publicity stunt to promote his current film and this "documentary"

You know, it might be kinda funny if it hadn't been done countless times on Letterman in the past by Andy Kaufman and Crispin Glover.

It reminded me of Kaufman, but also Crispin Glover:

There are still fools who think Glover was serious.   The key is that Letterman (although totally in on it) always plays this stuff off very well...

Like when Kaufman and Jerry Lawler did their thing:

Hahahaha that Crispin Glover clip was pretty funny. OBVIOUSLY a joke. Tell you what was equally funny, Paul Schaffer's attire hahahaha. Ohhhh the 80s.

Yeah watching that one now it's clearly fake, but people didn't do this kind of stuff constantly back then... so a lot of people took it seriously.    I think a lot of people STILL take that clip seriously.

Now people do this kind of stuff all the time to get a rise out of people.  Not just famous celebrities like Sasha Baron Cohen playing Borat... but also wannabee internet celebs like "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!" guy Chris Crocker...   fake fake fake.
