Can't update forum avatar-error"

"The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved."

This is the error message I get when trying to upload my profile picture.
Is is something I'm doing or is there a site error?

We're working on a bunch of forums stuff right now.  Hopefully, within the next two weeks avatar issues will be resolved, along with a new layer of polish on the entire forums experience.

Thanks for the patience.  We've got one team that provides support for around 200 blogs, so things don't always happen as quickly as we'd like.  However, it's been made a priority.
