Never too early to discuss about the MVP award.

Per 9/12 my MVP rank so far (based on stats, efficiency, net rating and wins):

1. Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks)
2. Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors)
3. Kevin Durant (Golden State Warriors)
4. Joël Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers)
5. LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers)
6. Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans)
7. Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder)
8. Kawhi Leonard (Toronto Raptors)
9. Damian Lillard (Portland Trailblazers)
10. Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets)

Other candidates: Nikola Vucevic (Orlando Magic), Kyrie Irving (Boston Celtics), Paul George (Oklahoma City Thunder) and Tobias Harris (Los Angeles Clippers).

Giannis will win it, so far he is my MVP as well.
Curry would be if he played enough.

I have exactly the same opinion. TP.

Lebron, Giannis, Kawhi in that order.

I keep waiting for Lebron to slow down, but it's almost as if he keeps getting better. It seems like it's Giannis' turn to win the award, though. And Kawhi is showing that he hasn't lost a step and is making Toronto the favorites in the East.

This is how I see it.  I think Lebron might actually beat him in votes though.  Curry might get consideration if he stays healthy the rest of the way and one of these three misses some time.

Antetokounmpo, Davis, James, Curry, Embiid

Don't really think anyone else is really in the discussion (I'd like to put Leonard at 6 on the list, but the Raptors keeps winning without him so that minimizes his value in my mind).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Embiid's not in the running.

Giannis, Bron, Curry, Kawhi and maybe Davis.  if C's and Houston climb, may hear Kyrie and Harden join the discussion late in the season.  Embiid will finish after all of them.

Without LeBron, that is a sad Lakers team. He has completely transformed them and made them a playoff team. Gotta be LeBron.

Lebron should have been MVP almost every year. Look at the Cavs, a team he led to the finals, have become maybe the worst team in the league after he leaves.

Giannis will win it.

The Lakers are good but not good enough.  They have a 2.2 point differential and are in the middle of the playoffs standings out West (admittedly the standings are very bunched out there).

Giannis has the narrative on his side (he's "next") and his team is top 2 in the conference.  They might end up #1 in the conference.

Lebron's on/off differential is only 4.  Giannis is 14.  Immense difference is value there.

One stat means nothing without context. And if I had an MVP vote I certainly would not make it based on one stat. How's this for one stat? At the end of the year whichever team increased their wins the most from last year, LA or Milwaukee, their player will get my vote. Seems as pertinent a stat as your's.

Yall have gotten too used to Westbrook averaging triple doubles cuz.... WESTBROOK IS AVERAGING A TRIPLE DOUBLE.  Yet not a single vote for even a top 3 until mine.

If you particularly don't want to include him, that's fine.  I'm sure you could come up with pretty good reasons.  But to think that almost nobody included him shocks me.  Did I mention that he's averaging a triple double?  And his team has the best win percentage in the West?  (12-5 when he plays, 5-3 when he's missed)

Ehh... I mean, sure he's been great, averaging a triple double, but 61% FT is pretty horrible, (he's also averaging the lowest FTA since his rookie/sophomore season,) not to mention he's been taking 5.1 3PA and hitting them at an extremely horrible rate of 20.1%....

To put that into perspective, Kyrie is averaging 6.6 3PA and hitting them at a blistering 39.2%, which gets only more astounding when you take into account he was averaging around the 24% mark early in the season after shooting struggles.

I mean... Sure triple doubles are great, but Westbrook has even admitted himself that PG-13 has been a huge reason for their success.

If anything PG-13 has been more impressive, and clearly the only player who I believe could be in the running for DPOY/MVP. He's been phenomenal.
