I was wondering yesterday about how much better New Orleans might be if they had of kept Jrue instead of trading him.

G: Jrue Holiday, Dyson Daniels, Alvarado
F: Herb Jones, Jordan Hawkins
F: Ingram, Trey Murphy III
F: Zion, Larry Nance Jr
C: Jonas Valanciunas, C Zeller

How much better would they be with Jrue instead of CJ McCollum?

I consider them similar level players but I believe Jrue would be a much better fit alongside Ingram and Zion. Two high usage offensive players. McCollum also a high volume shot taker. Jrue a lower volume shot-taker who contributes more defensively.

I think the more important question is, how much better would the Bucks be if they had kept Holliday?

You have to play all the moves and draft picks out to really know.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I would imagine a second round playoff exit as best case scenario.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Their poor defense is no fluke. I see it more as a personnel issue than coaching or scheme.

But they had to weigh that Middleton is now a high end role player and thus needed more scoring next to giannis
