Kawhi, George, Westbrook, Harden.. Kawhi is the youngster. Can’t imagine this possibly works, but it’s interesting.

Sixers can try to package the picks + Tobias for a quality player this season.

OR

They let most of their contracts expire and use cap space to land a max guy or some quality role players. This still leaves them with their drafts picks to make a move down the road. But they only have a 1-year window of cap space, as they will have to resign Maxey.

The second scenario seems more likely to put them in contention than the first, but it might take a year or two to put together.

Does Embiid want to wait that long?

Good luck to Lue managing those egos. I hope they crash and burn.

Quality player does not necessarily mean a really high salaried player.  Don't necessarily need to include Harris in a trade.  They just acquired 3 very tradeable contracts.  The three targets mentioned most on the Liberty Baller site are Mikail Bridges, Anunoby and Lavine.  Bridges would be perfect but is probably ungettable.
Lavine would be a good return for Harden but he has a big contract and doesn't seem like a great fit with Maxey.  Anunoby seems like he'd be the best fit and has a better contract if they want to maintain flexibility.

When the Nets pulled together KD, Kyrie and Harden, I thought that was a terrible combo.  This seems even worse.

Adding harden doesn’t make any team better

So I guess it’s addition by subtraction for the 6ers

Per Shams:

Draft compensation that the Clippers are sending Philadelphia in James Harden trade, per sources:

- 2026 LAC first-round pick via OKC
- 2028 LAC first-round pick
- Two second round picks
- One pick swap

I'm glad the long national basketball nightmare is over!

Why was Harden sitting on the sixers bench only a few days ago?

The Clippers have accomplished nothing with that group. Adding Harden won’t help much either. Still, anything that makes the Lakers path harder is great. It will be interesting to see if the Sixers can turn those assets into legit help

OKC must be adding protection to that pick. No way they give up that Clippers pick unprotected for just some vets
I'm bitter.

Sixers have thrown in the towel on this season. They are going to have cap space and picks to make a run at someone in the off season. But that roster is not very good at all as it stands.

If I were the 76ers I’d be looking to move Embiid before he forces a deal. I get that they have max money but they have to be the place somebody wants to go.
I thought a trade involving Lavine and picks / etc woukd make some sense as possibly the best deal to try and win it all as quick as possible. But I still doubt the Sixers are good enough to be the very best out of 30.
Not everybody can win it but Philly is in a tough spot with him.

We've found footage of Shams and Woj racing to be the first to know and tweet the full details of the deal.

Shockingly, it's the exact same footage for both:
Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.

I don't think so. They got great trade assets in the Harden deal. They will be looking to make a major move with those picks to go all in this year imo. If nothing materializes, they can easily acquire a couple of guys like Brogdon to add to the roster.
