As an oldie who has watched the NBA since 1969 ,Miami has shown me how the game has changed. I have never seen a team with so many 3 point shooters.
Van Gundy made a great comment about the C’s defense , or lack of, saying we were paralyzed by their shooting.
This is my long way of saying I like Terry .

Yup

And the Heat have (robinson, herro and dragic) are not just good shooters. They are automatic good

Celts have a team with a bunch of 35 percent 3 pt shooters.  Streaky and not bad. But its not layup 3s

With Terry would add a legit 3 pt sharpshooter

Ideally would like Okongwu and Terry. Or Achiuwa and Terry from the draft

But instead come out with one of Achiuwa or Terry and role type talent with 26

Danny needs to draft all shooters. You can't have too many. Having 4 40% 3point shooters coming off your bench would be wonderful.
I'm with you there to an extent. I would love to nab two pure shooters (Bane and Sam Merrill - a guy who I think is going to be a real surprise), a defensive minded player (Reed), and a genuine backup PG who can play immediately (Lewis Jr. or Terry).

A draft haul of Terry/Lewis Jr. (14), Bane (26), Reed (30) and Merrill (47) would be awesome. I think every single one of those guys can come in and contribute right away.

If you've got a minute, watch this video on Merrill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IvDvTWfa80
One of the more effortless scorers I can remember seeing. The knocks on him are mainly age, as he's 24 already, and he doesn't generate much defence, but he's got a high IQ which will offset that in the NBA. At the moment he's my 2nd round binkie.

Say we draft Terry. That's 3 40% 3PT shooters at college and a rangy athlete who can defend 3-5.

Getting Terry/Lewis Jr. (14), Bane (26), Reed (30) and Merrill (47) would be great. Shooters, shooters, shooters.

Thanks for The Merrill video he looks better than I remembered.

I’m all-in on Nesmith or Terry.  That means almost certainly both will be busts, haha.

Nesmith (#14) and Bane (#26)

I'd take that. If Miami wins the finals all the shooters will rise on those draft boards. Shooting can be your NBA skill. Herro, Robinson and Dragic are all below average NBA defenders.

Would it be a crazy notion to bring in Jimmer Fredette as an off the ball guard?  He might fit well into the new NBA and isn’t too old.

Can we get Buddy Hield off of the Kings? There are shooters out there.

I think so. He's 6'2, terrible at defence and has no idea how to buy into a lesser role than "the guy".

What do people think of Nick Richards? Not with the 14th pick, but just in general?

7 feet tall, 245lbs, 7'5 wingspan, averaged over 2 blocks a game including 8 with 4+ blocks. Slightly foul-prone as he defends the rim so much, but he was in the 91st percentile for PPP. He's also a very good finisher inside and can actually shoot free throws

Richards is huge but he looks a step slow on both ends.

Yeah, I agree. I'd only really look at him as a 2nd rounder and if Kanter opts out. Prefer a shooter like Merrill

14: Tyrell Terry  -  if its true he tacked on 20lbs.  Trey Young lite.  Backup to Kemba and eventual successor
26: Paul Reed -  Hopefully he has tacked on a few pounds also.  May not be available at 26
30: Jay Scrubb - Draft and stash at Maine
47: Malcolm Cazalon (euro prospect. Draft and Stash)

That's really high for Scrubb, who may not even be drafted.

his raw skills and athleticism is lotto level

Thats the only reason to take the risk

Not bad at 46-47

Needs to bulk up a bit more.   I think would give you more than what we have seen from Poirier.  Who was a bad signing

I really really hope Poirier is not on the roster next season. Barely better than Tacko

Lets just hope some other team picking earlier doesn't take him

Suns have been known to make curveball picks. Like Cameron Johnson last season  (suppose to go in the late teens/early 20s).

I could see them reaching for Terry at 10.   Rubio is on his way out (in a year or two) and they could add depth at the PG position
