Four Celtics are in the 11-50 range of ESPN’s NBA Top 100 rankings:

Kemba Walker (No. 48), Marcus Smart (No. 37), Jaylen Brown (No. 32) and Jayson Tatum (No. 11). (https://espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/30451670/ranking-best-nba-players-2020-21-50-11)

-Smart ahead of Kemba due to injury concerns
-Not sure about the large gap between Brown and Tatum. Especially when it comes to the playoffs
-Tatum would propel into the top 10 if his efficiency/clutch shot making in the playoffs improved

I think Brown is a little low, but the rest seem reasonable.

Kyle Lowry 30  and Siakam 24

I disagree with this.  Brown should be ranked higher than Siakam.... Brown locked up Siakam on the defensive end in the playoffs

Tatum needs to finish better, he has to get his FG% at the .500 level like GH.  I think Brown should be higher, maybe he needs to rebound and pass better to get there.

That looks about right to me for Tatum, Brown, and Smart.  It’s impossible to rate Kemba because of his injury.  I’m guessing a healthy Kemba would be in the 25-30 range?

Maybe a smidge lower

The little guy is not a strong or versatile defender, though he tries

I don't get this. He was a starter in the all-star game last year. At worst, that makes him a top 15 player. The ESPN ranking is ridiculous even if his knees have to be managed moving forward.

To be fair accolades aren't that accurate at pinpointing how good a player is. Think top 20-30 is a good ballpark for Walker with his injury concerns.
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Smart at #37 was a bit of an eyebrow raiser for me.

That means he's the second best player on most teams in the league?

ok fine

yup.  Most mediocre or lesser teams

like Pelicans,  Kings, Hawks, etc.  Smart would be the 2nd best player

Very surprised by the Smart/Brown rankings. Pretty high imo. Maybe this assumes a leap?

I think Tatum is adequately ranked. On the cusp of top 10 player seems about right.

Kemba I assume takes status if knee into consideration. If healthy, he would be way higher. He’s like a season removed from being on an all NBA team.

Yeah it's way too low on a guy who puts up 20-5-5 even when he's a little bit hobbled, is efficient from all over, and is one of the best guys in the league at getting to his spot and putting up a decent shot in a crunch time situation.
