There were many of us who felt the Cs should have taken Hood over Young in the 2014 draft. Hood's come along way over the past month or two, upping his season scoring average to 13 pts. He's turned into an effective NBA player.

Young? What is going on with this kid.... It's getting scary -- JR Giddens scary. It's beginning to look like yet another whiff in the draft for the Celtics front office.

Hood was always going to be the safe pick. Ainge went for the home run. So far it looks like he whiffed.

It still took Rodney a little time to come around though.

There is still time to see how this plays out but yeah not looking that good now.  I don't think it's fair to compare Young to Giddens.  I believe Giddens was an older rookie around 23, and Young is still 19/20.

The last few times Young has played I've seen improvement.  Eventually I'd to see Young get JJ's minutes and see what more he can do.

Another premature thread about "Danny missing on draft". Sigh...

Hood was far ahead of Young at the time he was drafted. My question would have been how long will it take James to catch up to Hood.

If you would have told me three years, I would have said lets go with Hood then.

Now it looks like Young may never catch up.

I wonder if Young will be in the NBA at 27 years old, he better get better fast.

We have a roster full of role players we needed a boom possible/type player Young fit that more than Hood but there was risk of a bust. Hood everyone knows is a safer pick and expected role player type. I don't see the outrage over Young vs Hood.

Well, you know, first things first, Hood has actually had a chance to play for a team that's placed player development as a top priority.

I wanted hood.  Didn't know much about young other than his draft clips...soft on the inside and potential threat from outside. Also wanted deng, but ya know I'll trust a gm whose supposed to make these decisions ::).   ill go on record as we should get ingram or poetl.  Ben Simmons will be a bust.
