22 points in the paint already for LA. The interior defense the past two games has let up.

The Clips bigs are just taller, stronger, and faster.

There's nothing you can do if you don't have the personnel to match up.

Well, Danny could get the personnel to match up, but he doesn't seem to want to.

Danny's all in on Anthony Davis.

Not gonna help us tonight, is it?

Hey Celtics. Did you know that playing defense helps you win the game?

actually I heard offense wins games but defense wins championships. This is not a championship game. 8)

Honest question: Does this Celtics team pose a genuine concern to ANY team? For one or two games, sure, but is this team gonna put it together for 4 out of 7 games? They have so many letdowns.

That's the thing - I'm not really worried at all about that. To me, our issues have primarily stemmed from inconsistent effort and intensity out on the floor, but we've shown that we can beat anyone when engaged and playing together, which I think is the team you'll see during the playoffs. Wrong or right (it's probably wrong given their season up to this point), but they seem to be just waiting until the playoffs at this point.

We came out playing as hard as we could but simply have no answer for the clipper offense.

I disagree with that. These guys were giving up open 3s and layups from the beginning.
They’re giving up open threes because they have no answer for the pick and roll.  Opposite guy is now having to dip down way low to stop the big, leaving his guy open in the corner.  That’s not a lack of effort.  That’s a hot team killing us.

They also gave up like a dozen non-fastbreak layups in the first half. That's bad, no matter how you slice it.
Its the NBA.  A hot guy like Lou Williams has made and entire career of scoring.  Sometimes you have to give the other team credit.

Sure, but allowing a team to shoot 65% for a GAME? That's beyond just hot shooting. That's some straight-up trash defense.
Perhaps.  But bad defense isn’t necessarily bad effort.  Williams and dalinari unconscious.  It also looks like a really bad matchup.

The Clippers play hard. You have to play hard to beat them. The Celtics look like a team at the end of a long road trip....
I thought they came out to start the second half and played as hard as they could.  There was a clear difference.  But it didn’t matter.

We didn’t take a single thing away from them all night.  Offense was good after the first quarter, but at some point you have to get some stops and we never really did.

Some of that is unconscious shooting by Lou and Gallo (and everybody else really), but some of that is our group coming out and looking like they’ve never defended as a team before.  It’s frustrating to see so many decent-to-better defenders combine into such a flawed product.

I know this has been talked about by LarBrd, but I'd really want to see a hierarchy implemented in the team. Kyrie, Brown, Tatum and Horford should be taking most of the shots, while everyone else feeds off scraps. Brad especially has to do a better job of getting Brown going, he could've gone for 30+ and willed us to a win tonight if his teammates didn't ignore him and plays were actually being run for him.

LOL.  Yes, if only Brad had gotten Brown going.  That would have somehow stopped the Clippers from scoring 200.

Sorry, but force-feeding Brown was never going to make this game competitive.  Our failure lies at the other end of the court tonight.

I feel like larger doses of a healthy Baynes would have helped in a do-over of that game.

Our scoring wasn't giving them any pressure, so they were basically focusing on one end of the floor tonight. Also LOL at "force feeding" Brown, just feed him and he would've scored tonight. Meanwhile your Kyrie and Hayward were throwing up from the real force feeding LOL.

Lou Williams schools everyone that we have..

How is it that this man is not payed max money when he is an offensive juggernaut on or off the bench... Whereas Hayward is as passive as ever and is payed more than half of Lou.

Yeah I'm concerned moving forward with this team this year after this beatdown.

Can't win without interior presence.
