This Smart - taking closer to 10 shots rather than taking 20 - is sooooo much better for this team
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I just flipped the game on and notice that G Williams has played 0 minutes. Is he hurt or benched?

Benched.

I think he'll likely play tomorrow, though.  Stevens has previously given players DNP-CDs to have some fresh legs to throw into the second night of a back-to-back.
could be that.  could be Brad's seeing what many of us are seeing with GWill's substandard play this season and is hoping a game off may get him back on track

FWIW, he got good results the first time he did this.  He held Grant out on the first night of a back-to-back.  He responded with his best game of the season against Toronto.
I'm all for trying something again if it works the first time around

and Jaylen gets a slight push in the back on that layup and still no call.  drives me nuts when I see that

Mer too. That's how players get hurt.
S’ok - Brown learned he wasn’t gonna get that call when it happened in the Miami series in the bubble and he almost pulled his groin. He was probably expecting it at this point. Dude gets way less respect from the officials than he should.
Raw on/off says that he's a non-impact player for us, so he obviously isn't good enough to get these star calls! (btw check out my post on the Brown thread talking about a more robust APM metric that really likes Brown, combined with other forms of +/- liking him in general it's pretty safe to say that he's taken the leap into a superstar).
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

Garland and Osman can't defend Brown.  This is a slaughter.

Brown is going to be considered a top 10 player in the NBA pretty soon.

This is the worst I've seen Garland play.

I remember watching Brown in Summer league and how raw he was.

His layups were an adventure.

Years later? Star.

Perk might have got it right calling JB and JT one of the best duos in the league

I wonder how much of this is a case of us being awesome or them being abysmal

And some people want to write off our rookies on the basis of one bad month
