Well, was always going to be tough to win in Philadelphia without Tatum, let alone with a recovering Kemba and Timelord  and no Romeo. And then to add losing PP on top of that, that's hard to overcome against a good team.

I think with Covid, this is just one of those stretches that you just have to shrug your shoulders about given bad timing with an outbreak on our team on top of other injuries. Every team will go through this this year, so luckily we're getting ours out of the way early in the season with Tatum and others.

"a recovering Romeo" ???

What contribution has he made in two years ? Nothing, complete waste of a pick and could have had Brandon Clarke.
What is it with Danny's disdain for post players ?
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

If Danny wasn’t so point guard happy we might actually have some bigs worth a darn to help out brown
We have actual bigs. Brad just lack the cojones to roll the dice with bigs. Just look at what he did to Tacko after that impressive Wizard win.

Who have we chosen not to sign that could potentially stop Embiid? Go ahead, I'll wait.

It would've been a good game for Tacko to take a shot.

We lost this game in the 3rd quarter when the Sixers turned our lead into a double digit deficit when they ran off of our parade of turnovers. That was the ballgame.

We still don’t have anyone who can solve the Embiid problem

Tacko couldn’t have done any worse.

Theis and Thompson don't work on the court together.

Agreed. It's something different.

Our problems are hitting open shots and having an extra two way wing to keep Harris and Simmons occupied.
I’m not giving up on Langford. I still like him and think he could be that guy.

Got to get healthy but Brad needs to work out some kind of rotations.

Agreed. I can’t recall completely, but during that trash lineup in the 3rd (that looked like a team you run out after up or down 30) what leader did he have out there to keep things from unraveling? I mean that was just atrocious.

that's a key that's overlooked.  we have enough issues dealing with Embiid but we always get killed when we get sloppy with the ball and that almost always has Smart as the primary culprit.

We cut the TOs, we're in the game against anyone if not winning

I mean, Tacko drove to the rim in garbage time and missed the next game due to a sprained ankle. But yeah, sure. Somehow he must have the agility to hang with a guy's Embiid's size  ::).

He can hang with him down low and it's a different look. Who hung with him in this game?

What do you suggest?

We don't have the pieces this year.  At some point some of our roleplayers need to step up to become every-game reliable contributors or we need to move on from them.  I like Grant Williams but he doesn't look like an NBA player this year.  Don't know what happened, but clearly something did.  Thompson, Theis, Teague, Romeo, Pritchard, Ojeleye, Nesmith, Robert Williams... we have to get something from somebody.  Not a single one of these guys is reliable night in, night out.  Even Smart is wildly inconsistent.  Brown, Tatum, and Kemba can't play all 48, and they can't win against good teams by themselves... as much as I credit Jaylen and Kemba for trying tonight.

We aren't a contender this season and our depth is the reason why.  If Ainge considers this a development/bridge season then it is what it is - I can live with that - but if we're seriously trying to win a title then this isn't good enough.
