24 points and 30 rebounds for Enes Kanter tonight.

Kanter is probably the Blazers only healthy big at this point.

He didn't misuse him per se, Kanter is just the worst possible big for Stevens' defensive schemes. In Portland's drop defence he works, as does a similar slow lumbering big in Nurkic. But Portland get destroyed by the PnR and their bigs cannot defend in space.

Per minute and per possession he's basically the exact same player as he was last year, except his defence is significantly worse this year (as I alluded to above). He's just a liability against the spread offences that teams can run now

I think Kanter is a solid big in the regular season but becomes unplayable in certain playoff matchups.

24/30 is impressive. You don't often see that statline.
I liked Kanter. Would have him back as a back-up center over Thompson.

I think they both bring some different things to the table. Thompson is a better defender and in the same league as a rebounder. Neither can shoot outside the paint. Kanter has a lot more post moves and is a better score. Kanter is bigger , taller but not that much stronger. I think I'd raTher Have Kanter to match up with Embiid. I think he matches up better against Embiid but I probably rather have Thompson matched up against the other teams we'll meet in the playoffs in The East. I also liked what I saw with Tacko on Embiid in that last game. Tacko makes Embiid have to think and just. I like a hockey rotation on Embiid in the playoffs. SAending in different plays quickly in and out to they and through of Joel. I also think that this team is more built for the playoffs when prep and strategy mean more and the starters play the most minutes and the rotations are shortened. For the hundreth time I really like these Celtics if they are full healthy in the playoffs.

Brad was using Kanter well last year. THe problem was not the offense and rebounding, it was that he got attacked in the playoffs esp in the last 2 series.

That was why Kanter's defensive stats in the regular season was good, Brad was using him very wisely eg playing him vs Lumbering bigs
